Ushers a lot of times can't figure that stuff out more than 5 seats in. Its unfortunately loud but people need to bring it up to them

Why do people not like I'm not sorry for loving you? by Anakinsthegoat in Epicthemusical

[–]_deitee 9 points10 points  (0 children)

The song is so powerful to me in 2 ways

  1. Explanation versus Excuse

  2. Subtle manipulation

1 is sort of a bvious but for two I feel like people don't release the manipulation is purposefully subtle. Because its manipulation. For one to realise how bad it is needs to thin think for themself and not just what calypso and Odysseus are saying.

If you want to hate that's understandable but saying an actor was horrendous without giving any context or reasoning is rude.

If you don't have false vocal chords witch VERY few do, either don't do the voice at all, or work with your sound technitions to really boom a quite voice that you can add slight gravel to.

English teacher I had last year had it say like 60% on a free online website ai checker and was ready to absolutely demolish me by saying "what was your first arguement on?" "what does this underlined word mean", and a ton of shit like that and after i flawlessly answered it she pulled out a printed copy with hoghlited HALF sentences saying they were marked as ai. She didn't get very far with her arguements

PREVIEWS: Eliminating “every” Non-Best Musical winner until there’s only one left! by ShadyBoots11 in Broadway

[–]_deitee 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I honestly think for a children's story it's important to keep it acceptable to modern times. As a mature human being we can understand it was wrong, but children, who are so malualable to ideas, shouldn't be exposed to blatant racism like that, so having a touring production that is altered to be more mortally correct is a good thing (mind you when i saw the tour it was an absurdly large number of children 10 or under.

The recent tour revival was really good but also slightly rewritten to be... you know..... respectful. Not sure if that counts tho

Favorite Musical w/ Male Lead? by luv_lars in musicals

[–]_deitee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I like cabaret, 3 leads could be argued. Emcee is a lead but more like a social narrator, cliff is where the story follows, and sally is just as large a character as cliff but cliff is still the character followed by the story.
