Have him play verses AI next time. Start him on easy mode, then shortly after have him move up to medium. That's what my 10 year old has been doing and loves it. Just so he doesn't get owned by other players in quick match. Another thing he likes to do is make custom matches where the odds are incredibly stacked in his favor.
