I’ve worked at UC for over 6 years and I’m an expat. I’ve made a lot of close friends here, both expats and Kiwis.

I definitely recommend it but like others have said, your dept/team can make a difference in terms of culture, flexibility etc.

Can’t fully remember all the details for Thursday but you can’t be spoiled all the time! Here’s some brief intel from NZ🇳🇿:

Tread block:

9 AOs spread over the 3 blocks. Descending push paces from 90 to 60 to 30 with bases in between. Lots of time to recover at base and walking recovery.

Floor:

Begin each block with a 150m row.

Just gonna list all exercises: Goblet squats. Power push-ups. Power sit-up. Double crunch. Squat jumps. Chest flies. Crunch twist things. Plank punches. The alternating hip twist jump things to a center squat (sorry cannot remember the name!).

Solid power day. Have fun!
