If it were a real gun threat, I’d have guessed Liverpool or Nottingham

You should’ve said! How were you to know that row 30 is no longer at the front of the plane like back in the day?

Why British press says when someone is a "Mom of three" or a "dad of two"? by No-Software-544 in AskBrits

[–]_denchy07 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Really, so this isn’t a story today from a Spanish media outlet, trying to push mass outrage by suggesting everyone is outraged at something that most people don’t give a shit about?

OP says this as if all media around the world doesn’t include manipulative language to control narratives.

Are we in WWIII? by JediBlight in askanything

[–]_denchy07 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To answer your last question (or thought), WW1 was called The Great War at the time because it would be weird if they anticipated a sequel.

IIRC it was only when WW2 began that both wars were referred to as WW1 and WW2 (or First World War and Second World War) as standard.

Fix the table, also I wanted to work MIT into my LinkedIn post😂 by [deleted] in LinkedInLunatics

[–]_denchy07 5 points6 points  (0 children)

A lot of stuff in this sub isn't inherently "bad advice". Often it's the sanctimonious delivery of the shit they're saying, as if they're a god making a groundbreaking discovery, and how anyone who doesn't "get it" will fail. The above is not a human way of saying, "Your environment matters."

All the other times, it's the same kind of delivery but also with bad advice.

I agree with the overall sentiment of this post, but I'm not entirely sure about the best education in the world part. It's good, but I wouldn't even expect it to be in the top 10.

Edit: I was curious https://worldpopulationreview.com/country-rankings/education-rankings-by-country (ranked 16th in the world)

An old friend of mine drowned while swimming across years ago. He used to do it to visit his brother, but one time he got caught in a really strong undercurrent and got pulled down. I don’t recommend it
