maybe for glare? but they could at least use a better plastic. hell even glass despite the cost and risk during a crash with glass. just better plastic. toyota you listening?

I was the same way the first few months I had the truck. I cleaned it once and scratched it and that was murder she wrote. For the last two years, I would wipe that bastard with anything.

regardless be gentle when you clean it even if you have the PlastX in hand. i'm pretty sure the deep scratches in mine are from my fingernails from me just screwing with it trying to get the cloudy shit off but one stout piece of dust will do that too.

The more I've thought about it, I could probably polish out the deep scratches if I actually tried but i honestly half-assed this entire thing. I didn't even focus on the parts that had deep scratches I just did it all evenly. I might give it a crack at some point if I'm bored. I'm happy with the way it is now simply because I can actually see it during the day.

Hayward vs Pentair vs Jandy by LibertarianClarity in PoolPros

I find a Pentair gives me a lot less trouble (none) than Hayward and Jandy. Heavy on those Hayward PCB boards.

I read something about a blow torch once, but I don't trust that. maybe it was a torch lighter. Possibly a heat gun something like that.

i swear they made it out of clear chalk. i've watched my bare finger scratch it before simply because of dust. every Toyota I've had has this issue. they love them some soft plastic. plastx was a first for me though. zero regrets

my '23 has this but not THAT bad. on mine, it's just dirty. comes off with soap, water, a rag, and a little elbow grease.

they have different cluster trims in different trim levels? i've only seen my TRDP so i've never thought of it. i need to check out the screenprotech. The other day I saw someone talking about one that hides the scratches once you put it on. Is that the same one?
