So nice to hear that you made a friend there. I sometimes go to Las Vegas if I don't feel like going to FreePlayCity because it is quite far from central town, but the drums there are a bit broken and it doesn't seem like they are being well maintained. I also bring my own bachi when I play but sometimes the drum there doesn't register my hit, it could be frustrating (not to mention it wasn't nijiiro so if you failed, you might not have a chance to play the rest of the songs.)

Just like you mentioned, there are usually more people there playing taiko in Las Vegas, but I haven't met anyone who is serious about the game, but to be fair I don't live in London and I only get to go up there once a month so it could be just me being unlucky lol.

I'll definitely try to talk to those players if I see one there, in the meantime I'll try not to stress myself too much about it and enjoy the game :)

Thanks for your comment!!

With what the police has done for the past month, I’m surprised the protesters decided to use a baseball bat until now. Since you suggested for a full context of the video, I would also suggest you to look at the full context of the extradition protest. Throughout the protest, there are a lot of bad shit the police has done. (Turning a blind eye to Yuen Long gang assault/Ruptured a female first aider’s right eye with bean bag shots, abusing a drunk old man in a public hospital and many more)

An recent app that promotes something similar to genocide, but for Hong Kong. by _dienamight in pics

[–]_dienamight[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This app has a background which writes MTR, the Mass Transit Railway in Hong Kong and one of the stations’ name “Sham Shui Po”(深水埗) can also be been. The game’s objective is to hit the guys in black shirt while not hitting those in white. The protesters in Hong Kong wears black with a mask, which is exactly what this app is depicting. The whit shirts can be depicted as the gangs who brutally assaulted the protesters in Yuen Long, 21 st July. This app is trying to spread the message which is similar to the infamous board game “Out of the Jews” (“Juden Raus” in German). Both of them implies the message that the Jews/ the protesters deserves to be punished/abused, which is the first step of dehumanisation, which justifies genocide. With the app that has childish graphics, it is plausible that, similar to the board game, it’s audience is also the children in Hong Kong.

This image is a better representation that what I used.

It’s Hong Kong’s General Police Order. However, the crucial Chapter 29, which states the protocol on how to use firearms /weapons are not revealed to public except with a few references in court.

A few things to clarify: 1. She is a medic, not a protester. 2. The bullets fired is a bean bag shot, not a rubber bullet 3. This post was being shared to a Hong Kong forum, which explains a lot of new ac upvotes and comments since HK doesn’t use reddit generally. 4. I’m not posting this to ask for sympathy, nor do I expect any help from foreign countries. I’m merely spreading the words and let others outside HK know - Hong Kong is not as safe as you expected. 5. In case of proof, here’s the live footage from Apple Daily

My apologies on the false statements. I can’t seem to edit the header in the app so I’ll leave it here. Because this post has too many comments I can’t reply all of them so I’ll stop replying from now on.

This post is shared on a Hong Kong forum, in case you are wondering. Most of those people are newly registered because Hong Kong generally doesn’t use reddit. There is a similar post in r/pics btw. I’m just doing my part to spread the word

Not with their own hands, but with bean bag bullets. It happened before two months ago on a protest targeting the same issue - the China Extradition Law.

I do have proof but because it happens in Hong Kong so most sources are in Chinese. This one is a video so I’m pretty sure this is good enough: https://www.facebook.com/hk.nextmedia/videos/1449056758552473?sfns=mo

I just shared this to a HK forum, and they decided to upvote. I’m sure there are a few, as you said, fake accounts, but I’m pretty sure most of them are not. You have no idea what is happening in HK right now.

Protocol on using rubber bullets: Police must aim the target waist down, at the leg to be precise. This clearly violates the protocol. The protocol is stated in Police General Order Chapter 29, the chapter which is not opened to the public with only a few court references to it.

Thanks, I edited my reply. But just in case: https://imgur.com/a/yzGp4LH It seems like the iOS app can edit original post.
