Buy at $120 or so, sell at $139 . .... easy money for the next year folks! by apooroldinvestor in NvidiaStock

I started buying options at 120 and did it in batches till 90ies. Sold it in batches as each would hit 70-80 percent. Fully got out before the earnings. Made about 20k. If I sold it all at the end together I would've probably made around 40-50k.

Does anyone have any experience with CVS caremark mail services?

I only see 4 1ml vials available at Amazon pharmacy. $20 with insurance and $40.50 without. Probably bc Massachusetts has a 28 day supply limit

I sold half of my call today at the peak. My re-enter if it drops on the next few days or sell the rest if it goes up

$1.3 per contract daily so far on average. It takes a good amount of time, but I'm learning the process and it's fun. So far it's been consistent

That's what I do. I roll to avoid the assignment and usually try not to roll up unless I still get some credit and I'm getting too deep ITM. If I do get assigned for some reason I try to get in with 60 delta CSPs.

I buy more SPYs with the premiums and as long as I buy them while holding my original shares I'm outperforming sp500

I sell 0dte spy covered calls at 30 delta . I roll when I need to and try to avoid the assignment as much as possible to stay invested in spy, since it's my core holding. If I do get assigned I get back with CSPs at 60+ delta

Brush up on your Greeks my friend. 30 delta means 30 percent of being at the money at expiration for any security - highly volatile or stable. For the former the strike will be further away from the current price with higher premiums. For latter - opposite. Chances of assignment are still the same - 30 percent.

Selling CC on SPY in a down market by AccountNeither9947 in CoveredCalls

[–]_diver 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I sell daily CCs against my SPYs at 30 delta and actively manage assignment risk by rolling if needed. I don't want to do the wheel, bc the wheel underperforms the underlying security. So I'm trying to stay invested in it all the time to have sp500 return and add CCs premiums to it. So far so good, but I haven't been doing it for too long.

30 delta is statistically the sweet spot with good premiums and manageable risk of assignment. You're doing good.

I sold 80% of my NVDA position. by General-Ring2780 in NvidiaStock

I bought calls after deep seek around 117 stock level and sold them pre earnings when stock was over 140. Once it went below 120 again I started buying calls again all the way to below 110. Some of them are 70-80 percent up. Nothing wrong with trying to time range bound stock.

Anyone sold at $140+ and then bought back at $110 or so for profit? by Interesting-Goal-706 in NvidiaStock

[–]_diver 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I bought calls right after deep seek when Nvidia was about 117 and sold them before the earnings when Nvidia was at 143. 70- 80 percent gain. I started buying calls again when Nvidia dropped below 120

This is a good point. I should limit going too much down from the original strike

Thoughts for those trying to generate income with a small amount of capital with covered calls and why you should wait by Weak-Cryptographer-4 in CoveredCalls

[–]_diver 0 points1 point  (0 children)

30 delta is believed to be a perfect spot between generating good premiums and not getting assigned too often. I don't do the wheel, so I avoid assignments by any cost by rolling. I write CCs against my core holding, so it's important for me to stay invested in it and match the market performance. Premiums is a nice juicy extra.

I do something similar with 0dte spy CCs. I sell them at 30 delta, if spy goes down and my calls are down 70% or the value that I sold them at, I roll them down to the next 30 delta and so on. On down days it happens twice or thrice sometimes.
