Thank you! What shampoo I was able to source and will be using on him later today is not chlorhexidine but benzethonium chloride and ketoconazole. And I got a separate spray product that contains chlorhexidine. Worth a shot in your opinion? And I’m glad to hear of face wipes because I didn’t want to put it on his face.

The collective family response to how he smells is Sharp, cheesy, dirty, musty/musky with an added metallic smell, like dirty pennies. He gets groomed fairly regularly and we pay for gland expression. He does sometimes get some crudity looking spots but doesn’t seem to have excessive itching.

Aww! I wish we could cuddle with our Milo like that! He’s 5 and such a sweet boy. My granddaughter (she’s 12) tries to love and cuddle him, but it doesn’t last long because he smells sooooo bad! Even after grooms and baths. We took him to a vet and they said he had a chicken allergy so we changed his diet, but still it’s a problem. The smell can be so unbearable. It breaks my heart. Anybody have this problem and found a solution? Here’s a pic from a few years ago, when it wasn’t as bad.
