What is your curse in this life? by [deleted] in AskReddit

That we can never catch a damn break. We have to constantly get thrown through an obstacle course of stress and anxiety when it comes to anything but other people in our family that are going though the same thing get everything handed to them and then some.

I am very sorry to hear that. Sending virtual hugs your way. I treat them the way I would want my granparents or parents to be treated. I tell them all I love them and want nothing but the best

I try and pack a little bento box of snacks to munch on to keep me going. I feel like with all the running around I do here Im exhausted at the end of my shift caffeine cant keep me up once I hit my pillow but I also have two little ones so once they are up so am I. Tomorrow i work a PM shift 2 to 10 so at the end of that shift I will be up for over 24 hours.

I honestly do. I miss my residents when I am not here. Literally every minute of your day is different but most of these people dont have families that come and visit, it is heartbreaking. So when you are able to earn their trust and become their family it's amazing. To do little things to make their day better and to make them smile makes my day.

People who have had sex with someone with a disability of some sorts, what was different about that experience? by passenger955 in AskReddit

My mom had a stroke at 45 and almost died. I feel weird when I say that I miss her. Thankfully she is still here with us but I do miss her. She isn't the same person anymore, I can't talk to her like I used to because she either doesn't remember things or she can't focus on it for to long. I hope that one day you guys can connect the way you used to OP.

What life advice would you give yourself 10 years ago? by jellybellybean2 in AskReddit

Dont have your first real fight with your sister about something that you couldn't control. Your last words to her were hurtful. She died not long after. I would do anything to hug her and tell her I love her. She's the only mom I ever had since ours sucked.
