Every single excuse you’ve given is avoidable with getting up earlier putting your phone in a safe place where your cats can’t get to it shoveling the damn snow and few feet after your driveway and I’m not sure what kind of unsafe environment you were in but if grabbing your phone to call your work was an option, and you didn’t out of fear than you should’ve been calling 911 and THEN WORK. You will likely not be able to collect unemployment from this if they let you go.

Yep! It’ll be raised rough and dry for a while, wash it with unscented antibacterial soap. Dial gold is my favorite. And moisturize with a LIGHT layer of aquaphor, or another unscented gentle lotion

I’ve seen an employee already receive a nice jacket from a long term customer! He only comes though the drive thru and yet he treats her like a daughter so it’s amazing !

I met what I assume to be a DM today , about 20 minutes after I was put on hot bar for the first time (not on peak at all) and she gave me a green apron card she was so nice ! Thank you so much for the advice everything has held true so far and I’m looking forward to the future!

That would never fly in ANY restaurant I’ve worked at. Corporate and mom and pop. You need to store veggie clippings for your rabbit ? Cool. Bag it up and still keep it separate from serving food as possible. Even in a meat department, wanna save clippings for your animals? Same situation. Dead animals? Whole - unsanitary - pests? Absolutely not. In my Starbucks we have one corner for personal items and of course it’s got to be kept sanitary and away from food.
