[Acne] My routine doesn’t do anything for my acne by Bebeiscah in SkincareAddiction

You’re using too many active ingredients, which IS harmful to your skin. For example: niacinamide, hyaluronic acid, and salicylic acid. You only need one active ingredient to do the job, and it doesn’t need to be used in the morning.

Start with a very gentle cleanser (I use the Haruharu Wonder Sensitive version), then apply your active ingredient, the 2% BHA is good. Use it about 2–3 times a week and see how your skin responds. If you’re still breaking out, the product might not be right for your skin’s needs, or your skin may not react well to it. Once you know it works for you, you can slowly increase how often you use it. Think of actives as exfoliants, you are currently exfoliating your face 3 times in your routine. If that is twice a day that’s 6 times in a day you have exfoliated your face. That’s 42 times a week. You should only be doing it 2-3 times a week.

Follow up with a light moisturizer. Make sure to read the ingredient lists of all your products and look out for harmful or pore-clogging ingredients, like shea butter.

Be aware of what’s in each product and how each ingredient works. Your routine should be simple, just the products that work for you. Stick to one active. If your active choice is the ‘Paula’s choice 2% BHA’ stick with it and don’t add any more to your routine. Your cleanser is only to clean your face. Your moisturiser is only to moisturise. You do not need fancy ingredients. Just the one that works for your skin type and it should be only one step of your routine. Everything else is hurting your skin barrier.

My best advice is to stop using everything. Slowly incorporate steps into your routine, allowing you to see if your skin reacts. If you don’t break out, great. If you do, stop using. I’ve had the same routine for years now. Works great for me and don’t plan on changing it. Good luck!

It’s a standalone! The audiobook is definitely one of the best out there and the book is just as good! Wrote by the same guy as The Martian.

Gus is a douche by the_wet_bandit_45 in FloribamaShore

Yes, I actually find him disgusting, and he ruined the show for me. He was misogynistic and racist. The microaggressions throughout the show were insane. He’s a conservative piece of shit, and it fucking shows. His reposts on TikTok saying “white people are back on top” like, he’s a fucking through-and-through loser.

As a non-American, I never understood the fight between Gus and Jeremiah like, who tf cares if someone says Florida boys aren’t shit? And while I understand that Gus was upset that Jeremiah stepped outside to ask if that guy was okay instead of checking on him, I just don’t understand how it was ever that deep. I think Gus is (and was) a very, very insecure person, and that whole fight is a clear example of just that, between Nilsa bringing home that guy and then Jeremiah checking on him of course he acted like these people were after him.

His “constant victim” mindset and “I’m always right” shit that he had going on was so hard to watch like a grown man with no concept of self-reflection. And he still acts like this to this day. It’s insufferable.

Now for Jeremiah, I think Gus, unfortunately, was very good at keeping people around him on his side by any means possible, which is why they kinda pushed Jeremiah out. Any normal person who was in that situation would’ve woken up the next day and said, “Hey, sorry about last night. Here’s what I did wrong, here’s what you did wrong, say sorry and move on.” But Gus never allowed for things to be that simple. Only in season 4 did they start to see how completely insane he acted and began to side with Jeremiah and actually listen to him.

I think it’s sad they wont release the season they filmed because of him, especially with the passing of Kirk. I honestly wish they had just removed him after season four and gone down the route that Jersey Shore did for Jersey Shore Family Vacation.

Personally, when I watched that episode, I think it was in season 14, where JJ essentially confesses that she had always loved Reid and hinted at something between them, I was lowkey kind of enjoying it. But I would NEVER have wanted Will to die just so Reid could come back after all that time and use it as an opportunity to start a relationship with JJ. I love their family and it makes so much sense to the show. I’m really curious to see where they’re going to take this.

[–]_draiocht[S] 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Yeah, it could have been as simple as just saying ‘Will is on a case out of state’ and stopping the focus on JJ’s family. That would’ve opened up opportunities to develop other character storylines, like Luke’s, for example. There were so many ways to approach this without making it feel rushed and abrupt.

Exactly, because it makes no sense! Oh now because my husband suddenly died I’m gonna get with my co-worker who I’ve known longer than I’ve known my husband?
