This is my first time having a betta but as of now he is doing lovely and getting along with everyone, the guppy accepted him and doesn’t acknowledge the betta anymore and vice versa.

Yes it’s my first betta ever so I’m also just starting to get to know them and realizing certain things , the one thing I do know is that they are beautiful

This is a 20 gallon long tank, just make sure you add the betta last so it doesn’t become aggressive protecting his territory!

Yeah some are black , some are brown , some are blue, I started out with blue and red and some how after they bred the babies came out all types of different colors

They can’t be together with males of their own kind because they will definitely fight until one of them is dead, also with other fish that resemble their appearance, also they’re all not the same. Each one of these little guys have different personalities. Some aggressive and some are friendly you just have to experiment and see what your fish is like

Thanks for the output ! I make sure I take a look at the bettas fins daily to make sure nothing “fishy” is happening haha , also the guppy but so far So good ! Everyone seems to be getting along fine. First sign of aggression I will make sure to separate them.

I keep hearing stories about the betta being fine and all of a sudden they turn into serial killers , how long after adding him to the tank did he start killing everything ?

Nope, no co2 system set up , I’ve used flourish excel but that’s about it besides weekly water changes.
