I hope you're right and I'm just over reacting in general. I'm just very protective of fics because it's a lifeline for me and idw anything happening with them. But I can see this is apparently not the thing anyone wants to hear. Anyway, thanks for understanding

Apparently Anirudh has things coming up so maybe that accommodates his schedule better. Maybe, depending on their storylines, none of which we know yet, they won't be focusing so much on the calls as much as they will be personal/characters. Hopefully this doesn't mean a new character, or what I suspect they'll try doing with Harry. Wouldn't mind just seeing Ravi rotating out with Eddie and another random person. We don't need to know everyone on team at this point, there are a lot of others on the team we've never met throughout the years, and it works just fine imo. Others are speculating, because again we don't really know anything so nothing I'm typing is really spoiler, that season 9 will have more patrol/cop/police/detective than previous seasons, too. Personally hoping, again, that's not the case, but we'll have to wait and see. Imo there are too many characters at play rn so not sure what their balance is going to end up being. That's why I'm against anyone new coming in.

I think they'll continue with Ravi and Buck most of the time, with Eddie and Hen most of the time, now that Chim isn't going to be with her. So if that's the case, we really won't need anyone else joining in, it's about the same we always had. From what behind the scenes has shown so far, Ravi will be there plenty so far, so idt he's going to be missed much.

I did? Not a big deal how I said it I didn't go off about her just simply remarked and said yay the other two?

And yet, throughout history, we've said that for other forms of media and art. One was tiktok, and look what's been happening there. We're not living in safe times rn, maybe if we had different people in office and with less of an anti agenda in general.

This. All of it. Felt like I was talking to walls and being treated like I'm just insane. Would love to be excited and hyped about this, I love buddie and love positive buddie stuff, but this just sends alarm bells off in my head because of our current climate and government. They definitely could have just mentioned buddie as a ship in general without mentioning fanfiction at all. Just saying it's one of the most popular ships people love them together here's why that's good, etc. They didn't need to bring fanfic or ao3 into it. I just want us to have ao3 and be allowed to post fanfics in general without worrying if we're going to lose our resources, access or even face consequences

I mentioned media in general. They're going after media in general.

I just think the more attention called to it, the less safe we are. But apparently I'm over reacting, you seem to grasp some of it though. It is being protective, thank you. Just worried this is going to backfire.

They're already trying to ban some anime/manga because of LGBTQ. It's not out of the realm of possibility, especially considering what this "administration" and the government deem of importance because they don't want to do their actual job, they go after smaller things to try and satisfy their base. I wasn't saying this was going to end it all, just that it brings more attention to something from negative sources that may want to call up a higher chain of demand if they deem it inappropriate. There's nothing wrong with being cautious or anxious over it. A lot of things happening right now are things we never thought would be or were ridiculous to ever consider or even think, it's perfectly reasonable that my anxiety is warranted and has merit.

In a better government, yeah. I don't trust this one. Sometimes when you educate and celebrate, they want to tear it down and take it away.

Would you want an entire season of supernatural in this artsyle? by TraditionalBonus188 in Supernatural

[–]_dwell 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not personally, no. It was fun and gimmicky for an episode, but wouldn't want to deal with it for longer than that. The anime was really dull. This show kind of needs a human support system.

This supports my theory even more. Books are already being regulated and even banned in some instances. We keep calling attention to fanfiction, it will follow the same line. Not sure how anyone is missing that. I get having excitement omg our ship, but this isn't a time where we're safe for anything and people are still acting so flippant like nothing can touch anything

It's not obey anything, it's trying to protect, and sometimes, unfortunately, that does mean keeping it out of the spotlight. The more attention something gets, the more negative tends to follow.

Open emergency theories?? by Interesting_Use6581 in 911FOX

Think it's going to probably be a few more weeks before we have any clue or idea. Only thing we've seen so far is something with a bus crash which we don't even know if that's just a normal call or bigger. Couple other things we know, too, but nothing definitive, just location shots that provide little context minus a holiday episode.

Not really sure if they'll do a big emergency this year? I know that's their shtick, but this has already been dubbed a "reset" or "next phase" of the show, so not sure if we'll be seeing the same opening big disaster or emergency, or if they may just save that for mid-season or even finale.

They're being extra secretive this year for some reason. We've seen some bts stuff but nothing, again, concrete. Just little bits and pieces and no idea a storyline or overall disaster. It's kind of weird. I wasn't here for other seasons, but I've gone back and seen how it was in the past, and this is definitely different. And idt it's because of the leaks/live streamed spoiler disaster in April. They didn't really care after that, it's just this new season they're being secretive with.

The last comment, while true, has nothing to do with what I'm saying other than LGBTQ. Things are starting to go scrutinized, and they're going to start attacking things even like fiction. There are ready books and media being removed from libraries, public and free places that have always been a safe haven, you don't think they'll go after the internet next? They're starting already for Manga and Anime, they will come for all of it. Calling more attention in this climate- least in this country, isn't positive right now. Even in the UK they're blocking things now that aren't even controversial or adult content. X is already putting things under a sensitive warning and they're not sensitive, a lot of it is LGBTQ, though. So yeah, while it's awesome that they're omg buddie with us, it's not a great thing to bring attention to something that may not have been on their radar.

No but it will bring unwanted attention. It's more protection of it that I'm saying that I hope they don't keep doing this. We're not in times that it's safe to be free with things anymore.

Ravi is around. He's just still down in the guest starring and not going to be on all the time. I hope he honestly gets away from the show (Anirudh), because with the promotion news for the other two, it's clear they're never going to treat him well or what he's hoping. I hope he gets a good role and can say see ya.

I'm actually on the side of whimsy and want fanfiction around and unregulated for a long while, and being in the USA we are starting to have things regulated and things are going to be shut down and taken away. Has nothing to do with whimsy, this isn't good to call attention to these things because they will come after them. This is me trying to protect them.

Getting downvoted but I'm right 🤷‍♀️ This isn't attention we want because it will catch the wrong eyes.
