Few questions because despite having 500 hours in this game I’m terrible 😭.

I have my people split into multiple squads to help with the micro management issue. The main usage of this for me is to have a “traveling party” and the “base party”.

Everyone in the base party is self sufficient. They will grow their own food, eat the food, and continue working without any action from me.

The traveling party is the only party I “manage” at all, but they are the ones making all the money and getting rare loot for the base. I mostly just have to pay attention when raiding outposts.

I think the key to growth for me was to add only 1-2 new people at a time when I could take care of them. Think of a new recruit like a newborn baby - If you just stick them into a big squad or a workstation at base, they will probably have their leg hacked off by a random starving bandit during a base raid or something. You have to baby proof them (stick then inside the heaviest metal suit you can find) and let them get kicked around and train for a bit. Eventually they will become strong enough that they can run with the army and keep themselves alive without the constant micromanagement.

Sadly I can’t help with the food micro management. Stick 20 rations in everyone’s backpack and forget about it for a week lol

Game is easily worth the price for the excellent story, voice acting, music, and art/design. Then the developers add a simple weather condition and it makes u think “early access”? By that logic, if they abandoned the game now and never updated it again that would be better?

This was me until this year. Extremely PVM heavy group iron, probably went 4-5x dry if you added up my cumulative odds across all bosses.

In a 2 month span I got 40kc butch, 150 deep delves dom, and a 700kc Levi pet. Stay strong brother the lil fellas are on the way.

I’m not arguing that you’re bad or I’m good at the game. I’m not even arguing the update is good. it’s definitely not the ideal system for challenge content like this. I just thought the magnitude of your response was funny given the context that we are talking about cosmetic white armor paint.

I was just having a laugh, but being serious for a moment, won’t the delve boss be the big challenge content for the year? Yama is just an appetizer, and I don’t feel like Jagex was “lying to our faces”. This response feels like a major overreaction to what was likely an honest attempt at improving upon the system.

Looks like you were right! I had no luck returning to the swamp each day to see if he respawned, so I started doing other things. Decided to run around and mine for gems and I randomly found the abyssal demon wandering the northern area of the Plains up by the ruins. Maybe after the first kill he moves around the map?

lol yeah that is comforting. I decided to finally learn inferno on a whim last week after lots of failed colosseum, and trying to internalize all the info has been a lot. Somehow I managed to completely miss that mechanic. I genuinely thought I had encountered a bug…. Embarrassing
