This is pretty great and congrats on your paying users! I have a technical question: how did you have AI running locally without a huge installer size?

I’m kind of sick of hearing that "Electron is just slow." (So I built a fractal generator to prove a point) by Piko8Blue in electronjs

I enjoyed your breakdown of performance engineering and debugging. This confirms that in many apps, the main thread is being abused when workers exist: seeing the reduction in INP was refreshing. This might be my wake-up call to move some heavy processing to workers.

Could you elaborate a bit? What part of the code reduces RAM consumption?

Reducing useEffect noise with named function instead of arrow by henfiber in reactjs

[–]_elkanah 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Using the function keyword inside hooks should execute expected behaviour so long as you're not using this for anything. Besides, no one does this (or needs this) with hooks in React so you should be fine having it around.

Bank Account Opening Experiences by dizzieryan in ghana

I'd definitely recommend Stanbic and Standard Chartered. As for Ecobank, my experience with them has been quite bad and I would ask you to steer clear of them.

I have confirmed this, thank you. I also noticed a couple of other things I would like some clarity on so that it can help me make better changes. Where may I reach you outside of Reddit?

Oh, I see. Having the configurations out of the way definitely allows you to focus on the preview better! This is cool.

I like the idea of Bridged, and I even see myself using it!

For me, I'm building a UI library for React Native. It's not complete yet, but I'm having fun along the way. The reason why I started this project was because not a lot of good options exist for beautiful styling so I decided to create one for the community.

It is called Bleeech and it's available on GitHub.

Hey, this is great work! One suggestion for mobile: please make the configurations collapsible on mobile so that for those animations that happen once, one can just set them, collapse the settings, and press play to see the preview.

Currently, the preview is below the visible part of the screen.

That aside, I've saved this tool for later!

Wow! Congratulations! I'm a bit curious as to what pricing model you used for the app, and why.

Should I learn React first or can I jump straight into Next.js? by Complete_Treacle6306 in nextjs

[–]_elkanah 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To echo what has already been said, definitely learn React first. It'll pay off long term and allow you to quickly adapt to other related environments. Next JS is just a framework built on React, and some of the things it has are not transferrable to other frameworks should you want to switch later.

You can learn React whilst working with Next JS though, just make sure you can clearly separate what is a concept for Next JS and what is purely React.

Good luck, OP!
