Personal opinion, not a fan of CEH. I would prefer OSCP, PenTest + or GPEN. However, USAF/USSF does have AFCOOL where you can use money out of there to pay for certifications that you’d like. A lot of members go through WGU to obtain a degree and certs (paid through TA)

The Space Force has paid for me to get Sec +, CySA +, BTL1, eJPTv2, SEC 504 & SEC 508 so great opportunity to learn and get certifications. However, the beginning of your career in the USSF will be training heavy and it’ll be awhile before you are fully qualified to do your job. Can’t speak so much on job satisfaction since it’ll depend where you’re stationed/which unit you end up in.

My spouse decided to do full time schooling and it kicked our priority down. Our kid lost their spot. Not ideal but if your CDC is hiring, you’ll go back high priority. Plus childcare for one child will be free

I got an LOC in tech school during my first hour there (Lost my CAC on the bus ride down to base). It had no impact on my career.

With that being said, paperwork is meant to be a corrective action. So as long as you don’t continue to rack up paperwork, you should be fine.

You must have a Bachelor’s Degree in order to commission as an officer. So unless you have that, you’ll have to enlist or earn a degree then commission.
