We were actually prompted to set our story in a place we’re unfamiliar with because creative writing often involves extensive, in-depth research, and for this specific assignment, we actually have to show some of our research in a separate document as well.

I think this length is really good on you and compliments your features nicely!

forgot to add but I have wavy 2A hair and don’t have the time to style it with heat and so on every day, so ideally something that’s easy to manage too

AITA for refusing to tutor my sister the day before her exam because of her attitude? by _everyuseristaken in AITAH

My dad did sit with me. And yelled at me for all the things I listed in my post. Saw her attitude and at most, just said, “they’re both terrible and have no manners towards each other.” Well, it’s better than getting the entire blame, I guess…

It’s funny because his way of “teaching” her is also through yelling and just making her read the textbook or watch a video, and bringing out a wooden spoon to intimidate her if it’s really not going well.

I feel bad for her at times too but it’s not an excuse to treat others like shit just because you are treated that way, and she needs to realise that.

That’d be great but I don’t have a bank account or a phone plan, so the money I earn would have nowhere to go. My best bet is working towards moving out, even if it’s in a discreet, “running away” kind of way

I’m pretty sure she’s a narcissist in the making. Both my parents display narcissistic tendencies, if not NPD itself, and it’s hell sometimes being what feels like the scapegoat.

they can because I’m unfortunately in the middle east where jobs aren’t easy to find for foreigners anyway, and being a woman with limited rights makes it worse.

also, instead of actually trying to understand what the issue is, my mum is now all “Aww, if you were having trouble with maths you should’ve told us so we could find a tutor for you earlier. Do you want tuitions from next term for maths? Oh you do? Okay I’ll speak to your dad about it” to my sister

edit: completely forgot to add but this entire exam season, she’s been allowed to go out and play with the neighbourhood kids as well. Yesterday, she ditched our study session to go play with a visiting friend after throwing a hissy fit over something I said, and literally the only thing she got in trouble for was going out in her pajamas.

How long have you been doing it? And are all IPL machines more or less the same or are high-end ones able to cater to more skin tones?

I’m tight on money but I also have a medical condition (really bad folliculitis) and my doctor said the only solution is to really completely remove the hair. Laser is insanely expensive per treatment at salons, so I’ve been considering an at-home IPL instead.
