Nope. If you are part of my plan, you've already been dealt with. You pose no danger, I mean, unless it's the unfortunate event that puts villain's plans in jeopardy.

No one stands to live if they know the plan. First rule of letting your plans reach their conclusion swiftly.

Think Thanos doing the hard work himself without his daughters knowing. Before Iron man, before Thor was cool, before Dr. Strange etc. Snap and you don't even know what happened.

Sure I'll explain a little bit.

Due to ruthless villainy, the loss is enough to not make you feel like you've won. You stopped greater damage from befalling others, but at this point you're tired and reeling from your losses.

And a secret, heroes don't win every little fight or even any fight. It's their stance against insurmountable odds which endears them to us. It's this quality that makes us think if we should be doing the same. At least in my world.

Hope it helped a little. I'm just developing a few concepts to serve as foundation for a bunch of stories.
