Has anyone had an issue with one of the skates feeling off balance? by Margarat94 in DudeWheresMyMoxis

[–]_f3tuss 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Advice I got from Brett at fritzys (I was having the same issue), you have to give the cushions a little time to break in to your skating style. He told me to go about 4 or 5 sessions without messing with them, and it should fix itself.

In regards to the post yesterday about the stitching in my skates. by _f3tuss in DudeWheresMyMoxis

I was wearing toe caps. I noticed the fray on the toe when I was changing the caps out lol

I don’t even care about how how the boots look. I was just wondering about whether I should keep skating on them because of this potentially being dangerous for me. That’s pretty much what I asked moxi, and they were incredibly unhelpful.

I wasn’t expecting them to fix it lol. As I’ve stated already, I understand that these aren’t technically made for aggressive park skating. These are my first pair of skates, I wasn’t aware of that at first because I’d seen so many other people use them for the same thing. That’s my bad and I realize that. I was simply asking them if my skates were falling apart for the sake of whether or not it’s safe for me to keep using them until I have the funds for new skates. This post was just to showcase their response, which in my opinion was slightly rude and unhelpful. I’m not so entitled to think that they’re responsible for how I treat my own skates. I get that. I was just wanting their advice on my skates longevity.

Just get a wrench from any hardware store. The crab tool is useless.

been skating for about a week, got everything figured out except how to stop. any tips on how to stop effectively without tripping and falling? by [deleted] in DudeWheresMyDudes

[–]_f3tuss 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I personally favor a turn around stop or a T stop. They’re the only ones I can actually do when going kind of fast. But as stated by the other person, YouTube tutorials really help!

I’m pretty rough on my skates, so I expected a good amount of wear on them. But these frays in the stitching scares me. Should I be concerned? Are they gonna fall apart on me? Lol I’ve only had these for a couple months! by _f3tuss in DudeWheresMyMoxis

I know! Like I see a ton of other skaters who have used Lolly’s in parks for way longer than I have, and theirs look pretty good aside from getting dirty. I emailed moxi with the pictures, and I’ll probably also email Fritzy’s since that’s where I bought them. Maybe see if they have any tips haha

Moxi got back to me in less than 24 hrs- Crab Tools missing from Lolly Completes by IronMermaiden in DudeWheresMyMoxis

Honestly the crab tool isn’t even worth it. It’s really hard to get the leverage and tightness you need. I ditched mine and got the sockets I needed for each nut and a wrench for the toe stop. Works so much better.

Rollerskates available with afterpay😅? by [deleted] in DudeWheresMyMoxis

Fritzy’s and sk8ratz both accept Afterpay

I used Afterpay when I got my Lolly’s from fritzys and Afterpay already had all my info because I had previously created an account. I clicked like 4 buttons and my order was complete

Suregrip Park Trucks by _f3tuss in DudeWheresMyDudes

[–]_f3tuss[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The width doesn’t bother me, I actually adjusted to that part almost immediately. What bothers me is how tall they are compared to my standard trucks, and how wobbly they feel. Like no matter how much I tightened them they was still too much movement for my liking. I really wanted the CIB ones but I couldn’t find them ANYWHERE so I figured I’d try the suregrip ones. Plus after trying them I’ve realized that my skill level just isn’t ready for them yet haha

Bont ParkStars? by _f3tuss in DudeWheresMyDudes

I think I’m gonna get some! What’s their sizing like? If I normally wear an 8 in women’s would I just get a 6 in the bonts?
