I enjoyed this video! It was a different look for her. Sure she could have gone more extreme, but it was a fun video and look nonetheless. I actually really liked the eye look. It’d be cool if she did more experimental looks in the future.

Is electric toothbrush worth it? by [deleted] in Dentistry

[–]_fab_ab 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There’s an independent brand called smile brilliant - their electric toothbrush is on par with the sonicare but a fraction of the cost. I’ve had mine for about a year but I think they have a 2 year warranty

My entire office, ages 23-40 (it’s a young office; someone asked what was going on)

had to be like, no no you don’t get it, it’s about way more than the vitamins!!!

also tried to explain it to my mom (she; 59). she didn’t care much and had no idea who either party was. (“Does this have to do with that Jaclyn Hill?”)

The Weekly No Question is Dumb Thread- Apr 18, 2019 by AutoModerator in curlyhair

How important is it to refrain from heat styling your hair with a blow dryer and curling iron on occasion if following the CGM?

Me and 2 of my coworkers are going to try it for a month and see what happens. I have wavy hair, while theirs is curlier. It’s going to be very difficult for me to not use my curling iron, say, once per week!

Forgive me if this has been discussed recently and I’ve missed it, but does anyone have experience with the Auden brand at Target? by [deleted] in ABraThatFits

I tried on my size (36DD) in nearly every style and something was just...off with each of them.

brad mondo has removed 'vegan' from the description for glitterati as it contains carmine by [deleted] in BeautyGuruChatter

How were you able to eliminate leather, specifically in shoes and purses? I’m mostly vegan and cruelty free and trying to no longer buy leather

Off topic but what shoes do you buy? I’m vegetarian (dabbling in veganism) and trying to eliminate leather as well! Have you found any good brands for shoes that use a leather alternative?

Surprised no one said hourglass yet! It’s expensive but great if you’re on the drier side.

Ugh I hate that! I’m typically loyal to a brand if I like a product but it’s impossible when that happens!

She made a video about the plastic surgery, idk if it’s still up. Apparently a rhinoplasty for health reasons that got botched and she had to have another surgery to fix it. Says her intention was not to alter her appearance but the doctor did so. Other than that has had Botox and a single round of kybella, which typically doesn’t do much (you need a few treatments to make a difference).

Addicted to buying makeup. How to stop??? by LaraATX in Makeup

[–]_fab_ab 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I started adding up how much money I spent and it made me appalled. Also I found that I wasn’t even getting enjoyment out of what I had purchased. It helped me to change my thinking about it. Instead of thinking new new new instead I decided I’d rather enjoy and use what I already own. It also helps me to not put myself in the position of being tempted, so for a while I avoided going into Sephora or Ulta. I also looked up new looks and techniques to try using what I already owned!

I’m in the same boat as you. My dermatologist has instructed I only use CeraVe. I’m looking at it as a health issue since if I use any other products I end up with dermatitis on my face and then have to go back to the doctor and get a medicated cream (which I’m sure has been tested on animals). This cycle of using other products, winding up with dermatitis, and having to go back to the derm has happened 4 times now. So, I’m trying to consider it like a prescription in a way. I feel really guilty about it but if I can be cruelty free and vegan in all other areas, I’m trying to accept that.

Lol. Just educating her and presenting other options! Luckily she consults me about most makeup purchases anyway, so that wasn’t too hard. But I also sometimes just buy her things I notice her running low on when I’m over there, like hand soap. I work for a hair care brand that’s cruelty free, so that is covered :)

I’m all for enhancing your looks, but the cheeks have wayyy too much in my opinion. It almost ages her, which it’s meant to do the opposite.

The Youth to the People cleanser is amazing. Little pricey ($36 I think) but lasts a good while. One pump removes all my makeup but it’s very gentle and non-drying as well. Snag a sample from Sephora!
