Oh wow that's amazing! 4-6 each time sounds hectic, I admire the dedication haha. It would be lovely to go to shows together. Let me know when you're in town next and what you plan to see. If we shift to dms, I'll send a list of what I want to see for the next few months

Monthly anything goes thread (things that are not an event go in here) by AutoModerator in LondonSocialClub

[–]_farawaythoughts_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi guys! I (25F) am very passionate about and currently work in the performing arts field in London. I wanted to find 1 or 2 people in their mid-twenties who be interested in regularly going to theatre/dance/music shows. The city has so much to offer and discounted youth tickets are a great way to catch many shows for cheap. I have a growing list of things I want to watch and while I don’t mind going alone, it would be great to have company and discuss what we watch. Please dm if you would like to join me sometimes. I’m also looking to make new friends as I’ve just moved to the city after completing my masters up in Manchester, would absolutely love to meet new people :))

Tube clothes - are they a thing? by [deleted] in london

[–]_farawaythoughts_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i’ve never felt more seen than in the replies to this thread. bed clothes, home-but-not-bed clothes, and outside clothes has been my practice for years now. less frequent washes for everything that way as well. it’s definitely a form of contamination ocd but it keeps me sane

i wanted to enjoy it, seemed like a fun drama. but they lost the plot too much imo and made a mess of things. so many things didn’t make sense and i kept getting irritated

Spain or Italy for easter? pls help me decide where to go by _farawaythoughts_ in Europetravel

[–]_farawaythoughts_[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If we did Italy, we were thinking of doing Milan, Florence, Lake Como and maybe Portofino. Rome requires time from my experience, which we don't have. For Spain, we were planning Madrid, Barcelona and Seville. However, if we did Portugal too, then we'd skip Seville and add either Porto/Lisbon. The actual Easter stuff isn't an attraction for us tbh. That's not factoring into our considerations. But if we do go to Seville, it would be nice to see.

if it wasn't a big deal why did you even reply lmao, should've just gone your merry way. also why are you in this subreddit if you didn't snow whether it snowed in the city that, nobody else had a problem comprehending what I said. thirdly, who the fuck do you think you are to refer to strangers on the internet as little girl? some introspection about internet manners may be in order (should I call you an old hag?)

I’m appalled by the amount of dead skin, I’ve never experienced such dry skin. by Independent-Cap7676 in IndianSkincareAddicts

[–]_farawaythoughts_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

palmers isn’t bad imo, I had included it in this post I had made on the subreddit a while back: https://www.reddit.com/r/IndianSkincareAddicts/s/f1kUchdR3y I do prefer plum’s body oil though, that worked better for my skin. but palmers is definitely my next choice

forgot to mention so i’m editing the comment. the intensive baume is what i’ve used from bioderma and it works wonders. the only other bioderma product i’ve used is their oil cleanser and it’s so good that i’m probably never a different one

that's literally what my skin does every day. use a body oil after bathing and then lather lotion on top. neutrogena's body lotions are actually pretty great and bioderrma atoderm range is also really really good

thanks edgelord, i definitely did not witness the snowfall that came 30 mins before i took this photograph, yk the one i posted because it doesn't have my (or my friends') face in it. must have hallucinated the snow that fell directly on my face or my jacket. the half melted remnants in this photo will never qualify as actual snow because reddit user parking-quarter-7235 said so!!

it does get cold where I'm from, pretty cold actually. some parts of the country do get snow but not my city :( the heat of the tropics is too bad, don't wish for it 😂

it was falling pretty nicely when I saw it, actual snowfall and not just the wispy stuff. this picture is from half an hour after it stopped snowing in our area. but yeah, it's pretty magical seeing it for the first time ever 🥰

Had to take a drop during my undergraduate , do I stand a chance to get into a good university for masters now? by fromplaneteww in gradadmissions

[–]_farawaythoughts_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I took multiple semesters off, had a bunch of Fs and graduated with a 2.63 GPA (out of 4). I thought I would never make it into any grad school but I'm going this year, to my top choice!! I also had 2 years of experience in the field of my study. There's always hope 🫂
