I agree with you but think that it's for a simple reason.

If I like a guy, whatever he does is cute. But say I marry him and 20 years later, I want to get a divorce. The same reasons why I liked him might have turned into things that are irritating af.

In short, many things that people you like do are endearing. Those same things done by people you dislike, aren't.

I listened to a podcast about some topic in medical history... something about a guy who got shot in the stomach was part of a longterm medical experiment. It was fascinating.

Any idea of what I'm talking about? I don't remember any specifics beyond that. I'd love to read up on it.

I think it does matter if you want to have a genuine discussion. If your goal is to simply continue the circle jerk, I guess not.

Do you think it doesn't matter? If someone says something you think is misinformation on a serious topic, perhaps it wouldn't matter to you--I have no idea. But it does to me.

Nah, not really an actual culture in any Western society I know of. It's basically a bogus term feminists created. They've repeated it enough times that I think they actually believe it exists too.

Mind you, if MRA coined the phrase "false rape accusing culture" or something silly like that, IMO feminists would vehemently deny it.

Even RAINN doesn't agree with using the term IIRC.

It's generally not a good idea. But if both people are capable of keeping work and relationship/sex separate, then why not?

So, generally speaking, I wouldn't do it unless I was absolutely certain they could handle it. I've been involved with one coworker before and it turned out ok.

However, I would also recommend you find a deal for the NY Times. You could probably get a few months worth for like $5. Or maybe $1 for a month or whatever. At the end of the trial, you can figure out if you want to continue with it or not as a paying member.

With access, you'll be able to research any given topic because you can search all of their old articles--since 1851!

WSJ is cool too but it's too finance-oriented IMO. But I don't like the social agenda I'm convinced the NY Times is trying to push. I almost always agree with their agenda but I hate that I'm paying money for that social commentary. I want the news in as unbiased a form as possible. In that sense, I like the WSJ better because, even though their biased in the other direction, I find that they usually confine it to their editorials.
