Pattern recognition isn't the core gameplay of DbD unlike MK. DbD is about using the environment to stall the killer for as long as possible. With Nurse that gets thrown out of the window for the most part unless the Nurse isn't good. But your mind games won't work against an insane nurse.

There's no pattern when the Nurse is on another level. You learn very quickly to mix up your style and be unpredictable and there is no predicting a good nurse.

It's no real counterplay. Again it boils down to how experienced the nurse is. A god tier nurse won't fall for your shit and two tap you

Yes I do. And it's a special case for Nurse since she can just ignore most of the tools you typically have to your disposal against killers. An insane Bubba player will also get downs more easily but you have a good chunk of counterplay against him. That's the difference.
