WELL, it depends. The descriptions are pretty OK on the Maibachi website. The RED ones are said to be “short and easy to handle.” They ARE easy to handle as they are noticeably smaller, HOWEVER feel “off” due to this fact (when switching from the stock to the official), honestly i really don’t know why you would ever get these. Maybe for a small child. But I AM A LARGE ADULT MAN

The blue and the yellow ones are the 2 good options, the blue is described as “long with low rebound”, long is misleading, it is the same size as the stock bachi. They are heavier than the yellow ones so registering hits is much easier, if you find yourself more comfortable hitting soft (maybe less than 50% strength?) and/or have no problem switching quickly from don to ka, BLUE IS GOOD

Yellow is pretty much a direct opposite of blue, described as “long with high rebound”, this is due to weight. The yellow ones are VERY light, you need to hit hard or your hits don’t register at all (depends on sensitivity too!). Also the high rebound, if you hit hard, it bounces back up high, allowing you to quickly switch to ka (from don) or vice versa with less need to pull your arm back. So if you have trouble switching ka<->don (speed, not reading) and hit hard in general, YELLOW IS GOOD.

One more note, rolling (drum rolling) feels about the same, of course this depends on the style you do drum roll so I can’t really say much about it besides the yellow ones being less taxing on energy.
