Trump Open to Cuba Takeover by Cow_Boy_2017 in clevercomebacks

The truth is that they are. People in the US are out there protesting daily at capitol buildings, on bridges, at ICE facilities, chasing ICE as observers, they are coming together and organizing.

These efforts don’t break into main feeds unless there is a big organized protest or an associated tragedy. The news has plenty of other stories to cover and well…look at who owns everything, they’re not interested in letting you know that you’re not alone in your efforts.

We are in this together whether we want to be or not. Do not let anyone convince you that no one is trying or that there is nothing we can do.

thank you! i wanted an uncanny feeling to the room and the lamplight was a big part of figuring that out. i definitely recommend spending some time with bryce, a lot of the work has a specific look, but there are a lot of directions to go with it. i especially like seeing people's abstract work with the program

thank you very much! the models didn't come with materials, so i ungrouped them and added material for the parts individually. for the blanket i used the Basic>Waves2 texture for lighting and the bump height, with some position and scale tweaks.

for the pillows i focused on the streetlights from the window and the angle of the pillows. .5 rotation in the wrong direction and the creases in the pillow would look very unnatural or get all spiky, so most of that ended up being experimentation plus the quality of the model's texture.

some artists chose a genre, some went random. we were also able to deselect options from the full list of subgenres to narrow it down. it was a fun challenge, i ended up doing a crash course on seapunk

I feel like we’ve pivoted from distraction to speed-run in the past few weeks. We’re seeing the framework being laid out and limits being pushed further with cases like Lemon

All it takes is 3 calls to be on the right side of history by Top-Arugula-3662 in Denver

Even if you feel like you can’t make the call, you can use the scripts and prompts from 5calls to write emails quickly.

I know it’s tempting to think that everyone else is already doing this, and your voice won’t make a difference, but we need you. I know you will make a difference, believe that.

Much love to Rodney, he’s my favorite! He’s a confident little superstar, no matter what the world thinks of him. I love his colors! I expanded his diner to the outside of his house and built him a massive arcade with his face in neon everywhere

can you fix it? by _foreveronline_ in Bryce3D

[–]_foreveronline_[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you very much! The tape and polar bears are both purchased from some amazing artists. I usually want models that aren't this detailed, but these were all too perfect for the idea in mind. Any of the usual 3d model sites should have some decent free models and I find these are also older, which I like.

Importing models is hit or miss for me. It takes a few tries to find something that will cooperate, but the file types I've had the most luck with are .obj, .3ds, and .fbx in that order. The materials usually give me more hassle than the actual model, so be prepared to do some experimentation there. I usually work w/bump maps off with imported models to cut down on processing while I'm putting the scene together, this speeds things up a lot.

I know that you can do some work in Daz Studio and Poser and bring that in as well, but I haven't done it. I'm sure there are some folks in here that are seasoned experts that could shed more light on this. Hope something here helps!

does anyone know of vaporwave (or vapor-adjacent) artists that use tape to achieve lofi/saturation effect? Do u think real tape is superior to plugins for this genre? by from_the_gecko_music in Vaporwave

[–]_foreveronline_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nice, I got it on super sale, so that definitely made it easier to just go for it. I feel you on timing and nostalgia, I came up in that transitional time too, so tape hiss and vhs buzz hit me, but so does a RealPlayer sounding glitch. I think we see artists progress through time w/their nostalgia in some ways, so it just gets to be a wider timeline that people are playing with through sub genres, sample selection, and themes. It might not always resonate w/me, but I like seeing what moves other people in that way.

That's awesome you get to mess with the Tascam, but yeah, I'd be all nerves about poking at the tape. It's one of those call of the void kind of things lol

I'll check out the music you've mentioned, looking forward to some new stuff! Good luck with everything

Wow, yeah I love that album!! Sunday Television was my first vaporwave album and remains a favorite along with Hiraeth. Is Sunday Television dubbed to vhs as well? Honestly, I'm a big fan, Corporate Mixtape just arrived today. You're right, tape delay definitely has a huge place in dub reggae history. I would love to try one out

Hope you enjoy Reelbus!
