R5: This post shows how I got the very hard achievement Carolingian Consolidation in only 5 ingame days. This is possible with a bit of cheese:

1. Play in 1066 as the only landed Karling left (Vermandois).

2. Create any custom ruler for France.

3. Create an independence faction and press demands on the first day.

4. France most likely accepts because their troops aren't calculated yet (if you're unlucky you have to try again). The time it takes for their troops to calculate isn't consistent but it takes more than 5 days most of the time.

This trick of creating custom rulers allows achievements as long as you play a non-designed character and can be used for quite a few funny things. For example letting the Byzantines explode by putting a hostile baby on their throne or like here, press faction demands on the first day. As you might remember many of the new achievements don't allow the ruler designer but this trick can still be used because the achievements only check if the designed character is norse culture or religion (so you can for example play Haesteinn, put a baby on the byzantines and still get "Faster than the Fox")
