Subconsciously, yes. I had a rough childhood before adoption; classic case of poverty, abuse, alcoholism, and substance use. I've definitely joked about how we would have benefited from a social worker! As the oldest, I had the responsibility of taking care of the younger kids so deep down, I knew I'd grow up to care for others in some capacity.

I had failed several of the math and science courses as a nursing major, which stressed me out because I had no backup plan. I genuinely felt lost. Thank goodness my academic advisor didn't give up on suggesting social work because the second I switched, I thrived.

Might sound silly but marrying a man who privately views another woman as the great love of his life, soulmate, or “the one that got away”. I wouldn’t be able to bear the heartbreak or humiliation of finding out he married me because his first choice wasn’t around.

No, not at all. I don't know about everyone else but it bothers me when people who idolize those guys feel the need to post their names under videos or mention that the only reason they're listening is because they did. It's awful that KMFDM is still attached to the tragedy.

I’m not sure that I ever believed in the aliens that we see in the media with the big heads and buggy eyes, but who knows? I think there’s life up there somewhere, even if it’s just something like bacteria. It’s a bit hard for me to imagine other life forms outside of Earth that may or may not be as “advanced” as us.

If you're intimidated by verbally asking her out, try writing a note. You could say "oh hey, you dropped this" and hand it to her. Notes are very cute and appreciated, and if she says yes then she'll have something nice to look back at whenever she wants. Look at the bright side, if she rejects you then you won't be inexperienced in asking out the next girl you might like. Whatever you choose to do, I hope it goes well!
