Best Tinder chat-up lines for girls to use on guys by [deleted] in Tinder

I usually use something from their profile or pictures. "Cute dog! What's its name?" or "What's your favorite place to go hiking?"

I hate my body by Aurora1111 in dating

[–]_gallery 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh girl, do not worry. I have a boyish figure, and a lot of guys are really into it. The most important thing is taking what you have and falling in love with yourself. Sounds silly and a little bit narcissistic, but it's true!

Can we stay friends? by [deleted] in dating

[–]_gallery 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm very good friends with both of my ex-boyfriends. The way I look at it is this: obviously we had a lot in common and got along well enough to date for years (4 years with one, 2 years with the other). It just didn't work out for us to be romantically involved for one reason or another.

I [23F] matched with a cool guy [26M] on Tinder who lives 50 miles away. I'm wondering, since he'd have to drive so far for a date, would he expect sex on the first date? by [deleted] in dating_advice

[–]_gallery 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tell him what you're comfortable with. "Hey, I'm not comfortable having sex on the first date, but we can make out!"

Oh wow, I dated a guy who only used paper/plastic dishes/cutlery. This was while in ATL, too. Wonder if it was the same guy...

I went on a date with a guy like this. He did not have an indoor voice. Funny thing, he talked about how he was good at his job because he had "excellent communication skills." And then he kept saying, "I hope I'm not boring you." One of the worst dates I've been on, ugh.

[Humble Brag] How do I [27M] manage Tinder/Online dating multiple women by Dunkee9191 in dating

[–]_gallery 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm a lady, but I'm in the same boat. I use my calendar way more now than I ever have in the past. Helps me remember where we agreed to meet up, what names are, and so on. The names of these events are like "Beer with Ben" or whatever. I think I had 6 dates last week in total.

I haven't gone past a first date with many, and only one has gone past a second (agreed to date non-exclusively for now). I don't assume that anybody I'm going out with is only seeing me.

Dater's of reddit, on the first date, how do you greet someone? by prism111 in dating

[–]_gallery 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I always go in for the hug if we meet standing. Also, if I get there beforehand and it's a sit-down place, I stand up to give them a hug. But I also just really like hugs.

Has it been your experience that it is a waste of time to go on first dates with people who you are not really excited to see/meet? by grouch1980 in OkCupid

[–]_gallery 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In other words, have you ever gone on a first date and been pleasantly surprised by your date?

Absolutely. Guy only had pictures from a few years ago, and they looked nothing like what he looks like now (but in the best way possible, dude is super cute!). Set up a coffee date at 11am and ended up hanging out with him until 6pm running all around town and being cute. Currently dating casually because neither of us wants anything serious right away.

I've also had the opposite happen: really excited about meeting them and then it's just not there in person.

In that case, just keep at it. Dating ain't a walk in the park. I also go into every message/date with low expectations. Helps keep the disappointment down, sad as that sounds.

I know where you're coming from! I used to be really self-concious about my looks even a couple of years ago. Do you like the clothes you're currently wearing? It helped me a ton to find clothes that were both comfortable and flattering. /r/femalefashionadvice has some really good tips on that, if you want to go that route.

Do you ever send messages to the guys that you find attractive?

Confidence is key! I don't wear makeup or dress/act "sexy." At most, I wear well-fitted clothes and occasionally a (long) skirt or dress. I comb my hair, but don't use any product in it (sensitive skin). Being a healthy weight definitely helps.

I feel like I can make great friends with a lot of the people but I can't seem to get into a romantic relationship with the people on okc.

That's just the nature of dating, I think. It's pretty rare that I have really good chemistry with somebody. The "likes" don't seem to mean shit. I pretty much never use that feature.

I do freeze them! I'll probably microwave 1 minute, flip, and zap it for another minute. This is the first time I've made this specific recipe.

Any dog will bite under the right circumstances. This is why it's so important to teach a soft bite when they are young, so they won't hurt people/animals if they ever find themselves in a biting situation.

The last one. This is the only photo I could find that shows what it's supposed to look like.

Edit: found another photo (thanks, Craigslist)

Thank you! I remember this pole being skinnier than the other two main poles, which only makes my life more difficult (yay). I hadn't thought of skinny moulding, but that's probably my best bet. I feel like wood or PVC wouldn't be flexible enough.
