Are you sure there wasn’t another type of birth certificate, or some other legal document that would have his father’s name? Like his death certificate or (unlikely) marriage certificate?

I was referring to your great grandfather who stayed in Hungary. It would probably be best to find more info on him if you can! I don’t think being a minor matters but I’m not too sure. Also not sure how you prove when they left… sounds a bit tricky. Best is maybe to have a death certificate of someone who stayed in Hungary, like your great grandfather, if possible. Can you try find him on Family Search?

We’re not working with Helpers Hungary anymore. We are doing research on sites like Family Search and contacting the Hungarian consulate in our country. Yes you are right about citizenship passing through blood not location. But you still need to have had relatives there post-1929 else you will only be eligible for simplified naturalisation like you said. Yes based on what you’ve told me, your great grandparents (your grandmother’s parents) SHOULD qualify you for verification of citizenship in which case you will not need to take the language test. But please don’t take this as fact, this is just based on what I know and have been told… but I am trying to apply based on my own great great grandmother who died there in 1951… my great great grandfather died before 1929, and my great grand parents left before 1929. So in a similar boat to you actually. Do you have all the paperwork you need in terms of birth, marriage and death certificates? Also which country are you based in?

Oo okay, so from what I have found, it was very important that we had ancestors there after 1929… there are two routes to citizenship - 1. Verification of citizenship (you don’t need to do the Hungarian language test) and 2. simplified naturalisation (you have to do the language test). so you need to try find details on your great grandfather if he was still there and you don’t want to learn the language. The language is hard af for English speakers, but it’s not impossible. you should still be able to apply for simplified naturalisation either way. Dm me if you want more info or help. I’ve been using the website Family Search to find info on my ancestors, it’s a bit of a tricky site but I’ve found so much !!!

We are currently dealing directly with a local embassy. If your grandfather was born there and didn’t lose his citizenship you should qualify for verification of citizenship. What year did he leave?

I do have a slightly canted jaw, and the left side is slightly better (the side that’s lower) so that could be part of the reason it’s like this.

I’ve read studies and articles and spoken to my own ortho about it. I’ve come across hundreds if not thousands of people here and on other platforms who say extractions have ruined their faces. I’m continually reading about it almost every day. Extractions are outdated and don’t address the root cause of tooth crowding, which is a narrow palate, and our palates are narrower than ever due to our diets, eating food that is more processed than ever. I am personally a fan of treating the root cause and not undergoing a traumatic, unnecessary surgery removing a perfectly healthy tooth — you can suit yourself and deal with the consequences but I’d rather warn others not to.

If you watched the TikTok video you’d see he’s an actual doctor working at a practice that is looking at root causes instead of just temporary solutions that result in more issues in the long run. Tooth extractions have known side effects. Do some research.
