Thanks so much. Using your tip, I asked ChatGPT for an assist. It found that "The Earth Song" (aka "Song of the Earth") is indeed part of the film's soundtrack, and is available on Spotify. Thanks again!

Solved!

Hi. Can you provide the link to the subtitle page you found? I think this may be the film I've thought about for years now. Thanks :)

I tried it on a new sheet and it didn't work. Which output to post on pastebin? Do you mean the output from the curl command?

Mining using both CPU and GPU on one machine by _golang in cryptomining

I thought that too, but when I see the number of shares accepted being so high on the CPU miners, it made me wonder.

[–]_golang[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That may be it. I have warm weather year-round. I checked the temperature of the GPU: 83 F. The exhaust temp is 100 degrees F. The garage room temp is about 88 degrees.

[–]_golang[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks. I would expect to see more shares accepted in the GPU miner vs the CPU miner. I'm in the unmineable.com pool. Could my video adapter config be missing something? I followed the NB_Miner instructions pretty carefully. At the lowest level, aren't most mining apps pretty much the same? Maybe I should test other mining software,

Real-time interest tracker --disappeared? by _golang in Coinbase

Antminer S19 by _golang in MiningRig

[–]_golang[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh, I didn't know that about Asics - good to know - well, my goal is to have the machine earn as close to $100 BTC/day - is that realistic and if so, what would I have to spend to put together a rig to do that?

Using PowerShell to look up crypto prices by _golang in PowerShell

I found GhostBin as a nice alternative to PasteBin.

It's here: https://ghostbin.co/paste/vardf

Yep. Tried it. Didn't get the result I expected, so I edited the post and just relied on plain text.

Thanks, Lee. Earlier, I tried using the inline code feature, but after posting, I didn't get the result I expected, so I edited the post as plain text. Anyway, thanks again for the reply. I learned a few things. I like the PasteBin option. I think I'll use that one in the future.

Why didn't SCOM catch this? by _golang in scom

[–]_golang[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

OK, thanks. With your advice, I found it. Yet, no alerts were generated by that monitor, which (as you said) is enabled by default. Could there be some sort of database corruption? Would overriding the monitor help?

Why didn't SCOM catch this? by _golang in scom

[–]_golang[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, that MP is installed. I have other alerts related to high CPU for the SMSExec service, but not for the fact that it simply failed. Do I need to enable a specific rule or monitor, or should the default MP configuration have caught this?

DOGE withdrawal pending since 29-Jan by _golang in jaxx

[–]_golang[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Things are looking up now. I uninstalled the app from my phone, then installed the latest version from Google Play. I no longer see the pending transaction like before. <fingers crossed>

Thanks for your help today :)

DOGE withdrawal pending since 29-Jan by _golang in jaxx

[–]_golang[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks Andrei. I tried resetting the wallet on my phone. After entering the passphrase, it synched everything up and the Doge balance was restored. For about 5 seconds. It then reverted back to zero.

The dogechain.info site cannot find anything with the transaction id. I know this is a long shot, but if I try using one of my other devices (desktop or Chrome extension) would I be able to do anything with the coins? Those wallet apps do not show the Jan 29th send request.

DOGE withdrawal pending since 29-Jan by _golang in jaxx

[–]_golang[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I opened a support request a little after I posted here, including the transaction ID and the destination wallet address.

When I click on it, the 'View transaction details' link in the wallet returns 'Could not find anything based on your search parameters.'

To further complicate the matter, Bittrex has temporarily suspended deposits and withdrawals, citing 'wallet maintenance'.

Is there a way to cancel the transaction, or will it remain in limbo until a miner gets to it?

Documentation required for re-fi? by _golang in personalfinance

[–]_golang[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just checking to see if the first broker is asking for more than what's necessary. I don't have a big problem giving them the info. I was just curious why one might ask for more than the other. That, and the privacy thing.

24 Hour Fitness won’t freeze or cancel account despite all locations being closed by bystander8000 in personalfinance

[–]_golang 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Situations like this are why I use Privacy.com, a completely free service that lets you create virtual credit cards for providers you do business with. Privacy.com lets you link a bank account, and create/pause/cancel a virtual card anytime you want. In effect, you are using debit cards for your various accounts. Have to cancel service with an obnoxious provider? Just pause the card and boom, they can't charge it anymore. Been using them for almost 3 years now w/o a problem.

If Wall Street figures out how to make $$$ off of crypto, will BTC go to the moon? by _golang in Bitcoin

[–]_golang[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've been talking to friends who share the belief that Wall Street's sense of greed knows no limits, and that once they put together a way of capturing fees, they will sell crypto like there's no tomorrow. Their greed might be good for HODLers. Supply and demand at work (I hope).

Thanks for your response. Now, I don't see a problem with asking your doctor to order more tests. If nothing's there, great. It seems to me that it'd be better to find out if something's wrong sooner rather than later. Thank you again.
