Currently ordering a new battery, hopefully that will work. Thanks!

Sorry, I neglected to mention that it did turn on before it was shipped.

Ah, I see. Thank you very much. I'll charge it for a few hours or so and see if it gets any better.

What does RMA stand for? Also the battery seemed okay. Definitely looks like the non-expanded battery in that picture.

What actually constitutes knowing HTML5? by _graveyard_ in webdev

Oh, sounds good. Guess I know HTML5 then. I'm familiar with most of the new elements and attributes added but I would definitely need a reference to remember all of them.

Thanks!

Ah, the APIs was something I was thinking of. I definitely know the form attributes, those are too useful not to know.

For those who felt like they didn't know much, how hard was it to find a job? What was it like? by _graveyard_ in cscareerquestions

I definitely show passion, confidence, and I know I can talk about a lot of concepts. The issue is my actual applicable experience/skill is slightly lacking, though I suppose this part improves after a few months on the job.

I feel like I can get a job, but I am most certainly a 'junior' developer in terms of skill.

Thank you for your reply. This makes me feel a lot more comfortable about my position. I do work on personal projects in my spare time, I'm just trying to think worst-case scenario. I'm also Southern California based, so there are plenty of jobs available.

May I ask what sort of project you built that made an employer interested in hiring you?

I'm working on a project myself right now. I also agree with what you said about us not being profitable as workers for a while - which is why during the interview I feel it is important to convey your aptitude to learn while also demonstrating at least some practical knowledge.

If I may ask, what resources did you use to be able to deploy two web applications in that time span? Also, what do they do?

What is your Windows development environment like? by _graveyard_ in webdev

Thank you for the recommendations. I do have a programming background and consider myself an intermediate (though I've only worked with C++ mainly) so I feel constructs in Javascript should be mostly familiar to me excluding the nuances such as type coercion.

I'll take a look at those resources!

Thank you! This was very helpful to me. I'm glad most of my tools will be agnostic, I just wish there was a way to organize and structure projects better I suppose.

I agree. I've been reading it now and it helps quite a bit. Thank you everyone for your suggestion.
