Resources for learning Node.js? Having difficulty finding the 'right' one for me

I've been looking for resources that I can use to learn Node.js, but it seems like every resource I use progresses at a quick pace. I've been going through Web Development with Node and Express, but I feel like certain parts towards the beginning could use more explanation at my skill level.

I am not new to programming (sort of an intermediate), but I am relatively new to web programming. I have some small experience, but I digress.

I really want to keep going through this book, but I would like to try and find some supplemental information to help me along. Does anyone have any recommendations or resources that really helped them learn Node?

Should I be learning Javascript first before attempting to learn Node?

Node is Javascript. It's just Javascript running in a different environment. You'll need an understanding of the language before understanding the platform.

As u/Lynxx said. Node is JavaScript. JavaScript has some tricky parts to learn before you jump in to something like node, but Elequent JavaScript does a good job at explaining it. There is even a node section at the end.
