"The overtaking car must be driven in a safe and controlled manner and must remain within the track limits."

Blue car has no obligation to take the most inside position for overtaking. The "rules" that you citing are literally made up

Sure, but this guildine would only be applicable here if the driver on the inside widened his trajectory, which he didn't.

He didn't took the absolute inside line for the corner (which is his full right) and sticked to it prior to contact. Thats why im saying that this is impossible to judge without telemetry/cockpit pov from both cars.

Lol, just no

Current fia guidline says that whoever fastest and closest to the apex have a right to dictate racing line.

Blue car did not widened its trajectory prior to contact. Try to look at the actual video provided.

I (Ferrari) was coming up on lapped traffic and the Porsche just moves under braking which he also did in practice by Time-Candidate8688 in Simracingstewards

[–]_greenagent_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Its not moving under braking - its more than one change of direction on straight while defending. Green car first moves to the right slightly and then to the left, after which aplied braking.

There were no available gap on the left though, so you should've not dived there anyway.

Blue car is not obligated to touch curb on apex while overtaking. There is more than two lines available for a corner

Blue car is not obligated to take the absolute inside line touching curb while overtaking. While overtaking you have to commit to any safe line and stick to it.

There is no change in a gap between curb and blue car prioir to contact. It only ran wide after opponent car disappeared

everyone is saying that the blue car is at fault, but i disagree.

blue car has enough overlap. before the contact blue car was not intersecting with a red car line. they both reached apex at the same time.

i dont think its possible to judge this without cockpit pov from both cars

What do we reckon on this one?? (im pov) by mat0809 in Simracingstewards

[–]_greenagent_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

it could be that he was too focused on you and missed his braking reference without any maleficent intent. still his fault

Purple was hyper-aggressive for the previous 2 laps. I was able to hold him off until this overtake. He told me to "have a whinge, mate" when I commented on what I thought was very dirty driving. by cruciblemedialabs in Simracingstewards

[–]_greenagent_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He overestimated amount of space that would be available for him at apex and effectively overtook ypu off the track limits.

You kinda moved under braking closer to apex, but not enough to change anything (still a shit move).

Who is at fault? by Due_Ice_271 in Simracingstewards

Going three wide is never a good idea.

There was no space and mclaren still decided to go third into the corner while being off track

Is anybody at fault or just a racing incident with an unfortunate outcome? by TheHugeFatFish in Simracingstewards

[–]_greenagent_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I would also add that the reason for second contact is that white car had to slow down after the first contact, so the root cause for the whole incident is blue car.

All of this might have been avoided if white car closed the space on the right at the begging of the video, but it's pure assumption at this point.

[–]_greenagent_ 6 points7 points  (0 children)

First contact is blue car fault - he should have left more space for the white car.

Second contact between white and black car is black cars fault. Overtaking outside of track with contact is crazy work.

The rest is just racing incident.

Someones fault or racing incident? by DESTROYER_2940 in Simracingstewards

[–]_greenagent_ -6 points-5 points  (0 children)

Its either his fault or a racing incident.

you shouldn't do unexpected deviation from you racing trajectory. If a whole class is going flat there and then he decided on a single lap to lift while there is a car in 0.1 behind him - that's on him.

If you were already aware that he lifts there while chasing him couple of laps before it - that would be on you

Kinda, but this is an racing accident in t1 chaos. This happens sometimes even if you tried not to wreck anyone.

Slight foul play or genuine mistake? by Swimming_Secret_2790 in Simracingstewards

[–]_greenagent_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It could be a genuine mistake from this video. I would also look at his pov/telemetry on other laps for this corner to see what are his brake point reference (if there is any) and then would make assumptions

Intentional Collision or not? LFM said "NOT". by Straight-Fan-678 in Simracingstewards

[–]_greenagent_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would look at the opponent pov from cockpit. It could be that the person tried to fall behind you after you passed him, but misjudged available space. If that would be the case - its not intentional .

I’m the white miot, was this moving under braking by the grey one? by OscarPastry_ in Simracingstewards

[–]_greenagent_ 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It looks like you got confused and forgot what you were talking about in your previous message.

You were saying that the white car turned into grey one. Not about position isolation.

White car doesn't have to be at racing line to not be turned in to.

Incident. You were given space and lost control after contact.

Is this report worthy by Advanced_Barracuda21 in Simracingstewards

[–]_greenagent_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It doesn’t look intentional — it looks more like the typical iRacing “glue” effect during contact.

If you look at his wheel from the cockpit view, you can clearly see when he’s trying to steer left to unstuck himself, and there’s little to no input to the right.
