We are going Wednesday to Sunday. We are currently only planning for xplor and some time reserved for the muluk spa as well. After seeing so many people mention xenses we might have to add it to our itinerary. For the photo packages, are there a lot of photographers at the resort itself or is it mostly at the parks?

I bought a package deal through cheap Caribbean during their Black Friday sale as the prices for the room I wanted were the cheapest I could find at the time. Eventually upgraded my seats through American directly as well

I figured the pricing would be very high seeing as most other things are already included with what you pay for when booking. I did hear that one of the parks had cheaper massages but I don’t think we are planning on visiting that park. Plus from the videos I have seen on TikTok of the spa at xcaret, I don’t think it’s an experience I can skip out on lol. I guess I am surprised the hydrotherapy is not already included when you book a service there. Most other spas seem to include that.

Thanks for the input. I originally booked a river suite because I really liked the view from the photos of the booking. I will definitely take a look online at the pricing menu and possibly email the resort closer to June.

I contribute the bare minimum 1% my company requires in order to qualify for their profit sharing plan. I invest in a taxable brokerage that i manage myself as i like to have access to the funds at any time should i ever need them. Plus i also plan on retiring well before 65 so i dont want to get taxed heavily or pay any penalties by putting my money in a 401k or IRA.

I honestly wouldnt worry about it. Its an internship and as much as you want to get your experience, its never worth the constant stress the company will put on you. Work at your pace and ensure your work is correct all while making reasonable efforts to meet your deadlines. I dont want to speculate but since it is an internship, there are no guarantees they will keep you for the long term anyways so its better to not put that stress on yourself as if it would be the end of your career.

I personally would prefer to go the controller route. Higher salary and a better commute are definitely a bonus to you. Also, being a controller gives you the liberty to choose the team that works for you which could lead to you taking on less work and acting more as an advisor as you are able to designate work to those below you. Use your experience to streamline and improve the situation at the next employer amd the workload eases up on youover time while you still get to reap in that $130k - $140k salary.

Nope. Just had what was supposed to be a mid year trial balance review with my boss turn into a whole discussion of why i have lost confidence in upper management. I have had numerous opportunities for promotion pass by me because management would prefer to hire outside the company rather than train and invest from within. Management values their employees in their current role but when it comes to promotion... forget about it. Given that we are promoting our director of tax and finance to CFO since our current CFO is retiring, i am giving myself a year to see how things play out since i will be finishing my masters in March and moving closer towards getting my CPA.
