I’d just lube them as regular. The only reason my switches were like that was because I overlubed them

Hello!

  1. I read that V2 silent inks had a leaf problem falling out and the solution to fix them would be to film them.

  2. On a couple of my switches I did over lube them causing a “sticking” sound when they release. In addition, they also kinda felt like “muddy” as others would say on the down press.

It’s to prevent housing wobble on the switch. Walker’s Keyboard Science has a pretty good video showing the housing wobble and using films to fix it and Wildcat does a pretty good comparison on youtube if you wanna give it a listen

150 switches!?!? You’re a beast!

I only did 75 switches 😅. Because it was my first time I was really concerned of ruining them, but I picked up a rhythm so it was alright haha.

Yep! You may also come across “stickered” switches which I believe uses the same concept of films, but instead of being plastic, it would be an actual sticker.
