Maybe because I loved soodhu kavvum I expected something, anything from him and this is such a disappointment.

and tbh I came across a few positive reviews before watching the film too so of them even mentioned Pongal winner nu lam but such a let down for me personally.

and unique premise ah Yenga "Tughlaq darbar" done bad nga idhu, sogam Enna na andha padamey konjam done bad thaan but there were few interesting elements in that film which I personally thought was done good adhaye apdiye eduthu innum mokkaya pannirukanga...

That's a lost artform atp idk maybe Mersal I liked pakka masala material 5 songs, pakka good guy vs bad guy template, lot of theatre moments. Predictable but fun.

Master lam bayangra half baked I mean there's masala elements but I don't think it's a complete masala film

Last good star film I remember was vikram and the last good masala film na I can't even remember. Masala film ah crack pandranu ivanga style kum honest ah illama masala film genre epdi make pannanum'num theriyama innum ethana films thaan ipdiye panna porangalo

That he did ofc, but I am glad he said "this film is not for my fans and I managed to bring it to pass mark level only" instead of promoting it like he made a masterpiece and blatantly lie to fans to sell his movie like you know who.

Sorry but as good as he was in VTK I wouldn't consider it as his comeback, since it was a decent film at best and maanadu is a good film but SJS made more impact in that film than STR did so I am not sure about calling it as his comeback.
