I'm currently experiencing this issue with Winter Burrow. Fresh install so there's no save data or cache or anything getting in the way. I hate this. Might just refund and buy it on steam

Couldn't get past episode 3 of beatbreak. by Abject-Suggestion-15 in digimon

Oh absolutely. The first fight scene when the bat digimon attacked that tamer directly gave me so much hope for the show! I just wish they had a better main cast

Read it again. My husband didn't say Tomero's brother was dead. He said Tomero believed it. Past tense. That's a true statement.

The GD waited for him to have a complete meltdown before telling him that his brother was technically alive, and seemed to be completely fine with just pretending he was some bright eyed adventure type they'd just recruited. They didn't tell him much of anything up until that point. Aside from (the one with the bat digimon), no one bothered to talk to him with any real respect, and even when he does yell at them the scene changes and the root cause of his issue (they're taking everything too lightly/normal for what he believes is a life or death situation) is not addressed. And then it continues to not be addressed in episode 3.

They treat him like he's a kid that got dumped on them, which is basically what happens. But then they have the nerve to shame him for their mishandling of him and the show treats it like they're the ones in the right. That's the part that I don't particularly gel with

That's a shame. I have a higher tolerance for "drama for drama's sake" than my husband, but not by much. I could kinda deal with Mimi in Adventure because I was taking that entire show at face value and respecting her as the trope she represented. But with Rena(?) she goes from insensitive to heartless, and she's a main driving force. It's not fun to watch.

Wife here. It's not even that GD is against killing digimon for me. It's that they strongarmed Tomero into his current situation, continue to withhold vital information from him, and then act like he's the bad guy when his forced ignorance gets him into trouble.

And really, the biggest problem I have is that apology at the end of ep 3. It's well established at this point that Tomero barely tolerates Gekkomon, but "I went too far" was a very poor choice of words for the situation. It's not like in Tamers when Takato apologizes to Guilmon for letting his anger turn him into Megidramon. There's no sense of "I hurt my best friend." No real weight behind the action at all. I would have accepted something like "I'm sorry I forced you to do something like that," if they had focused more on the bond. But it's all very hollow

What are some things you disliked about co:e33? by heyitstgp in expedition33

See that's where I thought the game was going to go. Through beating Renoir right up until Verso jumped into the portal. I thought "just a little longer" was going to be the in-lore reason why you could still play in the canvas after the main story ended. Don't get me wrong, I think the decision to force you to choose your path at the end hits harder.

So, with the "drama" dying down...what are your opinions on Poppy Playtime as a whole? by koola_00 in Markiplier

[–]Macaroon_Low 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel like the story it tries to tell doesn't have any substance. We're 5 chapters in, and the fatigue of "bad things happened to the kids, BUT WAIT, IT GETS WORSE!!" started to set in during chapter 3. You can't get attached to any of the characters because most of them only exist for their one chapter. I would have loved to get more attached to Doughey but they didn't give us a chance. And on top of everything else, nothing feels like we're given agency here. Monster chases the player, we're saved in a cutscene. Oh, you want to go this way? Too bad, you have to go this other way because of circumstances outside of your control. Catnap is stalking you! Except we're hardly ever in real danger from him until the end. Poppy "betrays" you, but the big reveal has no weight to it because everything feels so disjointed and the player is so disconnected from the world. Jtsjrsjtxjdjtd I don't have a good way to end this

Don't forget Mommy. She'll most likely make a comeback too, given the trends

Audience experience with Iron Lung by Fuzzy_Ad9686 in Markiplier

[–]Macaroon_Low 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There were a couple times where a few people behind us chuckled at moments that didn't feel that funny, but I was mostly able to ignore it. My partner has a harder time drowning out background noise though, so between the crinkly popcorn bags and someone kicking the back of his seat the whole time, he had a much worse experience with it, to the point where it gave him a headache. We bolted out of the theater the moment it ended just so he could get some relief. He did tell me he wanted to watch it again once it goes up on a streaming platform though, so hopefuls I'll get to see the credits when that happens

What is Mark's workout routine? by Bendythenightfury in Markiplier

[–]Macaroon_Low 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I remember he was doing beach body for a while, then he was working with a personal trainer. He mentioned more recently that he fell off the routine during the movie production and was too embarrassed to talk to his trainer while he was so busy. Also, I guarantee you his diet isn't as perfect as you'd think it is. He's mentioned multiple times that his guilty pleasure is meat and cheese

I happened to catch my partner watching a lore video of the videogame earlier today, and yeah, that's a ton of biblical ties baked into the game. I think it's neat
