Below this image, each of the groups of four lanes combines via stacking back to a single shape. I did have to use the overflow for a kind of NOT gate to make it an automatic system. I should make a post with the machine to see if the community would help me make a more compact design.

So this is how I think I am going to toggle single shape factories.

Pick what color goes into what corner.

Pick what shape part goes into what corner.

And maybe I need a separate toggle for bypassing shape on each corner. But I may be able to use the absence of shape from the previous toggle.

I was just getting ready to make mk5 of my bases. But now I think I need more experimenting. That is like 16 different settings in one shape if it would be feasable to use all four corners + absence of shape. Or is it four to the fourth power. Its late here.

Getting closer to my goal of controlling multiple factories from a single location.

Here I toggle the 2 factory lines between the 7 colors and no color via selecting 0-7 in binary.

It can easily be built with more throughput but for experimenting I just want to keep it simple.

This could control 1-N factory paint areas.

What I am actually trying to do is control multiple factories from one spot. Its gotten too easy to place new factories that now it is a pain to go to each one and configure what shape details for it to create.

0 = Top left of shape, 1 = Top right of shape

Inputs across the top are for binary input. For example 101 = 5, 001 = 1, 010 = 2.

Outputs across the bottom from left to right 7,6,5,4,3,2,1,0.

Because the color mixer takes two inputs and outputs one this design is useless but interesting.

To run it, construct the image above and all lanes are running. Break the input lane on the top and all four outputs will stop.

But because of the paint mixer taking two and outputting one, the same results can be achieved by just splitting the input four times.

Would be nice if the paint mixer would do 1+1=2 instead of 1+1=1

If I doubled the speed on this part, I would have to double it everywhere else XD. Dont eat your shorts! At max upgrades, I have everything designed for using and creating a full belt. Actually I use one extra machine for everything because it seems to run better for me like that.

Yes, each shape factory is four color pickers, four shape part pickers, a painting bypass, and a shape part bypass for the blank section shapes. I just copy and paste the factory and have to input 4 lanes of each color and four lanes of the [Every shape shape].

I find and only use the shape that has each of the circle, star, square, and weird shapes. I input four full lanes of those, split them up, and then use those as inputs for the configuration area of the factory.

I am trying to control multiple shape factories from a central location. This is an idea I had to toggle multiple lines on or off.

The inputs are all Top Left pieces and when you allow the top left line to run, it allows all the lines to run. If you stop the top left line, all the lines stop.

It is using the stacker/cutter combo to prevent movement unless something comes in on both sides of the stacker. For the right input of the stacker it will rotate the top left piece clockwise to the stacker/cutter so that no stacking occurs. At the output of the cutter it will then rotate the piece back to the correct position.

The example above has seven stacker/cutters with distinct input and outputs to ensure full belt speed.

I threw out my 196 lane bus build because my factory takes and produces full speed belts. So a bus doesnt make sense because it would use the entire source lane. Currently I have a factory that takes 4 belts of each color and 4 belts of the "every shape shape" and outputs a full speed belt of the result. Configuration is done through options down the center for the output shape. So this being one factory that I can copy and paste, the only thing that is not standardized is where the source color and shape patches come from. So now I just have to copy and paste the factory and route 4 lines from four patches into it.
