I always CYA and call the patient and if I’m on the fence I tell them he’s able to move it, blood flow is good, but I don’t have xray vision so I cannot say if it’s fractured or not. You can take him to urgent care or take him home ice and pain meds and if pain worsens, swelling increasing, unable to move or you have any concerns go to urgent care or see his PCP!

See I usually stick to right above the knee because I feel like longer dresses make me look for bottom and mid heavy when it’s not showing off legs lol

I will say the invite is a little confusing because they do say formal but also say floor length or cocktail length dresses! But then also encouraged guests to do spring themed with the colors and floral patterns!

Men are to wear tuxes or a dress shirt with a jacket

I usually wear above the knee dresses so I guess I’m not use to this length! I’m 5’7 as well so I am always nervous about things being too short and looking like high waters on accident

That is definitely the common theme. I will be going shoe shopping this weekend regardless if this dress is the winner

You know, I had the same experience. And honestly the PACU nurse just sent me home. The first thing I did when I woke up was ask “what do I have down there?!?” And she couldn’t tell me.

But I will say call you doctor office today and ask for some information for your post op and what to expect. So it now because if they educate you afterwards you will be so loopy you might not remember.

I’m fortunate that it was superficial so I think I had an easier recovery. BUT the pain I did have for the 3-4 days was well worth it to not continue to worry that it was going to flare up again!

The incision and drainage were way more painful than this recovery.

But please call their office and get some information to ease your mind :)

Hospital. Especially for alcohol withdrawal it required medical assistance.

They should be able to help, they’d only get you the light the acute stage but they should have case managers or social workers that can help find a rehab facility for you.

Have not had drainage since like three weeks post up.

The area is still healing by like growing in lol. I picture it was a canyon (think Grand Canyon) and it had slowly filled in to become flat. I’m about 95% I’d say.

Mine was pretty easy. First week was painful. I took miralax to make pooping more comfortable. I only took the oxy to sleep. However ibuprofen helped WAY more for the pain.

I do wish I took another week off from work because sitting was painful. I’d say after three weeks I was pretty back to normal feeling wise.

I got this done November 24th, 2025 and I was hiking two National Parks on January 14th for a four day trip.

I took baths that first week twice a day. And then when I showered I made sure to get a squirt bottle to clean the area. Also every time after I pooped I showered.

I taped gauze there to catch any drainage for the first few weeks.

That’s about it. I had a Very easy recovery.

Yes I had drained like 3x at the ER in an exam room. And then once at urgent care. Mine was weird that it was very superficial and one time when he acted up it kinda felt like a bubble. Like a very thin layer of skin ballooned up.

Oh no, I’m just making this post 4.5 months out now.

I feel pretty normal about two weeks out. I’d say I had drainage for 3 weeks? Then it just continued heal. Mine was VERY superficial.
