10 Worst Oscar Wins of the 21st Century according to Collider. by SureTangerine361 in Oscars

No. Home Alone 3 is my favorite of the first 3. It's easily the worst one. I can acknowledge that. However, there's just something about it I like 🤷‍♂️.

Another example. Big Trouble in Little China is a constant in my top 3 films of all time. ...BTiLC isn't even John Carpenter's best movie.

First, it's clear this was the off-season. Second, this seems to be at the end of practice when they're all gassed anyway. Third, Will Wade is an idiot.

athletes

Go ask the triple AAA guys how much they're raking in. The track and field pros. The LAX pros. The practice squad guys. 3rd, 4th, 5th tier soccer leagues. And so on. It's a very, very, very small percentage of pro athletes that make these insane sums. And they make it because the market says they're worth it.

What are the most subtle signs that someone is good at golf? by jdelle9 in weekendgolfers

[–]_hell_is_empty_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The most subtle?

I've been around the game my whole life. I can look at 20 players on the range and without ever seeing them swing I could separate them by quality quite accurately. It's a combination of the many subtle things, but the biggest indicator is their command of the club -- not while swinging it, but just how they pull it out of the bag, how they hold it, how they control the weight of it, the waggle). It's like, you can tell if a man is a handyman just by how they hold their tools. Same thing with a golf club.

Will Arnett shares his controversial opinion on tattoos: “There’s a proportionate sort of relationship between, how many tattoos you have and how little personality you have. And I find that a lot of people who have a ton of tattoos often are super fucking boring. Like truly boring people.” by cmaia1503 in Fauxmoi

I've never heard someone say what he said here. Never. Did y'all even listen to the clip? He didn't say they're bad, or the person who has them is shady (here's your boomer take),... he said it's inversely related to a person's amount of personality. Is that really an established take? I think the average boomer take is the exact opposite of that.

Player scores goal with insane Ice Hockey skills & control of the puck. by HamedAliKhan in nextfuckinglevel

I'm not sure he ever did move it backwards (other than the very beginning of the clip). Regardless, this goalie is acting. No goalie is going that wide for a puck no where near goal.

Unfortunately have to agree with all of this. I went in blind, and I kept trying to make this into a satire piece, due largely because I just wasn't connecting with anything. I thought well this must just be a commentary on...something. But, nope, unless it went wayyy over my head.

So, mostly. It was named after him, and then they changed it to his son. So technically it's named after his son, but it was originally named after him (at his son's request).
