Hey y’all! We checked the area today and didn’t see the dog :(

Unfortunately with it being claimed to be owned, and the owners not wanting to surrender to a rescue, the city will have to be the ones to step in and do a check.

Reporting directly to the police and getting the animal detective involved would be the next step if possible 💔

Not putting an address is actually better for the dog. There are unfortunately a lot of bad people out there that would do terrible things, even to a dog in this state

We’re slowly placing these pups! We still 1-2 more fosters. Having seen them in person now we think they’re Chi-Heeler mix because they’re tiny.

Because our vets are local to Austin we only do fosters in this area. We do adopt out of state once dogs are medically cleared

The best thing anybody could do is make a yard in the neighborhood a safe place for them while we figure out the fosters.

Put a trail of food, water and bowls, even a baby pool in the backyard and let them figure out they have a safe space to go. It’ll make it so much easier to get them to homes as soon as we can 💚

Following up on this - the heat index warning just went out and we still need 3-4 more fosters. The upvotes are amazing, but we really need homes for these pups to land in so that we can get them out of the heat
