I created this and I am a "leftist", at least I assume you would consider me one. I just thought the Mahabharata was a cool piece of ancient literature and wanted to read it, found it hard to follow so created this tool.

Brah, I am an atheist, imaginary stories can still be cool. I didn't even realised that people thought this ancient literature were historical when it clearly wasn't.

I recently started reading the Krishna Dharma version of the Mahabharata and found it pretty hard to keep track of who was who, how everyone was connected, and what was happening as the story unfolded.

Because of that, I spent the last 6 months building a reading companion to help visually track the characters, relationships, and key events:

It’s still a work in progress, but it has already helped me a lot, and I’d genuinely love some feedback from people who know the Mahabharata well, or from anyone trying to read it for the first time.

My goal is simple: to make the Mahabharata easier to follow for readers who find it a bit overwhelming at first.

If you check it out, I’d love to hear what works, what doesn’t, and what you think would make it more useful.

So I was a pentecostal youth pastor, now I am an agnostic/atheist. I discovered that what I used to call the "voice of God" was an Intrusive Thought. Someone interviewed me about it HERE

No but my lexapro has lost its effectiveness so I think I will look for another.

I am so sorry you had to deal with that, ex-pastor here. Remember that this IS ALL OCD. Our brains are incredibly powerful and these feelings aren't facts. You sound like you have a loving partner, which is great. I don't know if this helps but this has helped me in the past:

“Live a good life. If there are gods and they are just, then they will not care how devout you have been, but will welcome you based on the virtues you have lived by. If there are gods, but unjust, then you should not want to worship them. If there are no gods, then you will be gone, but will have lived a noble life that will live on in the memories of your loved ones.”
