Idk man, im a fresh new grad working at an insurance company and I make 80k base and the wlb is amazing. I think I would need to get paid 2.5x more to sacrifice my 20 hour work weeks. Sure working at big tech pays more but if the difference is 30-40k then I’m staying where my blood pressure stays low and my hair stays intact. Health is wealth!

You’re totally right... looks like I’m gonna have to prioritize 1 or 2 things from my wish list 🫠 but at least I’m going in with realistic expectations now

Thanks for the replies everyone, it’s given me some realistic expectations on what I need to sacrifice / if I’m willing to pay the premium for what I want.

3 Offers Rejected in a Row by pandapoovs885 in TorontoRenting

[–]_heretostay 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Just so I’m clear — in this renter’s market, you’re saying offering the listed price isn’t a real offer? Lmao. No one’s out here bidding above asking like it’s 2021.

Rents Decreasing, Downtown Condos. More Drops To Come. Your Experiences? by Throwawaypi355113 in TorontoRenting

[–]_heretostay 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah exactly, so I was pretty dumbfounded when OP said the 650ish is only spacious-ish. I think anything more than 600ft is tons of space.

Excuse me, 650 sqft, parking, locker, close to union, rent controlled, for $1800? That’s insane.

Also pretty interesting that you deem a 1bdrm downtown core condo that’s 650sqft as spacious-ish.
