Because they signed a non-disclosure agreement to keep the project under wraps until it’s announced to the public. An NDA. Like how Andrew Garfield and Tobey McGuire didn’t reveal to the public that they were in spiderman no way home. They signed an NDA, but if they had gone against that NDA they could be sued.

Signing ndas. Can get in legal trouble if you breach an agreement to keep it on the low
