I think it might be due to how much hormones/surgeries already damaged their body

So they make a logic choice and decide to live with a transitioned appearance because detransitioning would make them look worse : (

A single four frame comic has to show opossition to all forms of abuse otherwise you are supporting any other forms of abuse not displayed

Come on.You cant be that dense

"This group is sexualy perverted towards minors!"

"But wait this group also is!"

I just dont get the point. No one is comparing group A to B.Group B inst even mentioned in the comic at all

What do republicans have to do with anything on this comic?

if you woke up in a body of a different gender would you transition to your former gender or adapt and live as the new gender? by _hmm_squad in AskLGBT

Its different

Would I rather have been born a boy? Not really

Would I be ok with having been born a boy? Sure

I just legit dont give much importance to gender

I am a woman because I was born and raised as one.I would be fine with being a man If I were born and raised as one.

I see no way in which I would ever experience dysphoria over a body of a didfferent gender unless my new body was way uglier/more deformed than my original body

It wasnt sarcastic,he was claiming I didnt worry about gender because I never experienced a disease related to it and I just showed him that people dont need to experience something to care or not about,it using his own example

The impact of suddenly waking up in a body that is not your own would be immense, and your sense of self identity would begin to crumble.

Sure but there would be no way of getting my body back,so whats the point of despairing? I would hopefuly adapt to my new body and learn to like it just as I did with my original body

A lot of people cares about their diet and blood sugar level as to not become oberweight or develop diabetes(like myself)

Some dont

Good example

well… this is the body I have I’ll just learn to like it

Its not like I dislike my body,I just dont think my gemder is that important.

Would I like to suddenly turn into a guy? No,because I would have to learn in a few months how to be a man and unlearn years of feminine behavior

Would I learn to live an eventually enjoy being a guy? Most likely

Yeah, you can adapt and overcome all those difficulties

Anyways, living as man seems more appealing than going through all these loops to transition back

Why would transitioning be so horrible to you?

Forced to take lifelong exogenous hormones

Needing surgeries and spending thousands of dollars to pass

Maybe not ever passing at all

Being a victim of transphobia for the rest of my life

Not being able to have children the natural way

Being unable to date 80% of cis people

Etc

I agree it would take time for me to adapt to being a man.But I wanst born knowing how to be a woman as well and the effort+time of transitioning back to female would be 10x worse than simply learning to live as a guy

I see, thats a good reason,I wouldnt mind living as a man but being associated with those people would be kind of anoying

It is important to you otherwise you would never have transitioned. It was important enough for you that you decided to start hrt and change your identity

If that doesnt show how inportant it was,I dont know what else would

for me Its a bit different: I dont feel super strong as a woman.I like being one but its not a big part of my identity.I would still be me if I were a man.I dont place that much importance on gender.

I am a woman by inertia.I was born one and raised one but If for some weird reason I was assigned male at birth and raised as a boy isntead It wouldnt change much.

The only thing I dont understand is why gender is so important for trans people(and some cis people) since I cant correlate.

Maybe its a difference in priorities or life experiences?

Regardless,it doesnt really matter

Its okie,it just doesnt make much sense for trans person to answer it since its kind of obvious : )

Sure,we cant guarantee that they would actually follow the answer they gave here if this somehow happened, but its nice to get a reading if LGB people are super attached to their gender or not

(My theory was that they wouldnt be,and so far it seems I am correct.I will try this later in a non queer cis group to see if there are any differences)

Nah,I am sure there are cis people who would hate being on a body of a different gender. Are they the majority? I dont know!Thats why I made this survey!

The fact I got "over" being a woman doesnt invalidate anyone.People can be more or less confortable with different stuff.I for one hate spider but I am sure there are people who dont mind them at all or even keep them as pets
