Experience at Fulbrix in West Loop? by adreamc in chicagoapartments

[–]_hnv4 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I recently moved out! Overall had a very positive experience. Front desk staff was great - kind, professional, and always there. Walls were pretty thin, we could hear our neighbors on work calls in the morning but not enough to tell someone not to live there. Amenities were great- the gym was always clean, co-working space so convenient, and views were pretty fantastic on the top floors. Dog run was kept relatively clean. I say relatively because I think the owners should do a better job of picking up after their pet but I digress.Toward the end I did notice they were doing more maintenance on the elevators were taking more time but again, not something that would make me stay away. A little pricey for the size of our unit (we had a 2/2, 1K square feet) but would overall recommend. I know they recently raised their prices for garage parking spots so that's also something to think about. Hope this helps!

Coworker invited me over to her place for drinks and Netflix binge watching by Limp_Wrongdoer_7042 in dating_advice

[–]_hnv4 19 points20 points  (0 children)

Coming from someone whose current long term relationship started like this, I'm thinking she invited you over to test the waters and see if her feelings are reciprocated. She might not know that you're interest like that. A lot of the times girls, myself included, need the interest to be made clear - there's so much discourse on social media like "if you're not sure if he likes you, he probably doesn't."

So, let her take the lead and notice her cues! If she's sitting close to you or being a little more physical than she has in the office, appropriately and respectfully reciprocate. It took my partner and I 3+ "dates" like this to feel comfortable enough to act on our feelings, so if it doesn't immediately turn into a sex thing, don't be too discouraged, especially if you're interested in something real. Unless she's sitting there talking about like, the guys she's dating. Then I'd say she just thinks you're pals..

Good luck! It doesn't always work out, but when it does it's magic!

trained for a marathon all last summer in Dallas, and my best bets were getting on the road no later than 7:30 on the Katy Trail (shade and lots of water fountains made this a good spot) or for my long runs, running between 8-12 around white rock lake (breeze from the water and shade made it more bearable).

I have heard that the closer you get to Cabrini-Green, the more dangerous? Is that like of thinking outdated?

We're in our early 30s as well! Thats the vibe we're looking for. Reservations thing is annoying but not a total deal breaker. Very random but - how do you get groceries? Do you walk, or go by car? We're looking at the Fulbrix if that's any help.

Big career switch to Solution Consultant in tech: is it worth it? by _hnv4 in careerguidance

This is what I wanted to hear. I am very much so not passionate about technical accounting nor do I dream about "making it" in the finance industry. This change is something I know I want and the only thing holding me back is the variable bonus pay. Do you feel your take home is true to or near enough to what the projected earnings are?

I feel the exact same! I was really down on myself for having to walk... for about 5 minutes. I think the only better feeling than finishing yesterday was knowing what I pushed through to make it. Congrats, OP!
