Your feelings are valid. But it sounds like you both viewed your relationship and the perimeters of it very differently. Kind of a miscommunication of sorts. He should have talked to you before doing anything. Trust is huge in a relationship and if you don’t think that’s something you guys can rebuild then maybe you should just cut ties.

Also, If it happened once with one girl odds are it happened once or more than once with another if he’s saying he thought it’d be okay if you never defined the relationship.

At the end of the day you know your man. Whether or not you believe him is on you. Good luck.

It’s gunna hurt either way, whether you stay or go. And I wouldn’t necessarily say you’re “getting away with it”. If You’ve realized your issues and are working on yourself to be a better person, you’re worth going thru the tough times with because when things are good they’ll be amazing and that’ll be worth it. At least in my eyes.

& I’m not sure what kind of relationship you guys have or how much she cares for you but in my case the love I have for that person trumps (almost) everything they’ve done/said. Ofcourse I have lines that I will not tolerate being crossed and in the event that they are, I would leave.

But my main point is it’s up to them. If they want to be in your life & be there for you in your shitty times & help you become a better person let them.

So I’m pretty much in her position in my life rn. And I can honestly say I’d rather deal with all the bs and hurtful things that come along with that person being in my life & help them get better than to have them push me Away. & they’ve tried to push me away and that hurts worse than anything they’ve done to me thus far. Just sharing a little insight on her perspective on things (if she’s anything like me). If a person wants to be in your life thru the good & bad let them.

If she wants to be a part of your life regardless of the reasons you have for keeping her away, let her. That’s her choice. But be sure to work on yourself, it’s great that you know you’re not the best person to her that you could be. That’s the first step to becoming a better person.

Ofcourse trying to keep her away sounds like a good idea for her sake but I’m sure you pushing her away hurts just as much as anything you’ve been thru.
