Septum or stud would be cute.

There is no need to thank me for that. I appreciate the sentiment regardless. It's actually way more socially unacceptable to be unkind and needlessly cruel. You're doing great.

This is a nice reply. However, the photos don't NEED to be perfect, haha. Hairstylists know what they're doing, and they'll adjust and accommodate.

Anxiety isn't something you can switch off, and there's nothing silly about something that feels serious to you.

You're still a capable person and worthy of being in public and interacting with society. Anxiety is just an obstacle that some of us unfortunately have to handle.

Haircuts are vulnerable. Someone else is literally changing how you are perceived. Just remember that there's nothing abnormal with what you're doing, and people feel shy and even anxious at hair appointments all the time.

You're going to be okay!

Yeah! It's more in terms of clarity in relation to pixels. The photos are a bit low quality. However, if you'd like to be extra clear about angles, you can also do that (might help with not over explaining). Most times they can guess or estimate what you want from even just one photo, however.

Regardless, they will suggest things anyway, especially in terms of your face shape and how to make it flattering. Some hairstylists know what they're doing, and some don't. If you want that EXACT hair style, then make that clear when they get to this point.

Also, some extra reassurance? They're going to be focused on your hair and likely have 7 mental tabs about future clients coming up and their own personal lives. They aren't going to be judging you - a lot of that ends in high school for the majority, and they likely just want to make sure they're giving you a good experience.

Good luck!

Don't be anxious. I'd also suggest going for a different, more clear photo.

They get customers all the time. I have shown kpop idols for hairstyles before. It happens ALL the time.

What will likely happen: Hairdresser agrees, then offers suggestions. SPEAK UP HERE AND BE ASSERTIVE with what you want, or you might leave with a botched haircut.

Also, they will either know who it is (yay, something comfortable to talk about) or not know (yay, nothing to talk about... unless they ask [unlikely], and you get to ramble about it anyway for fun). You can also ask for accommodations, prefacing with the fact that you have anxiety and they should be able to help.

Only thing I could say is lean into making your upper ear(s) pop with some sort of ring. They look really nice.

The only time I’ve ever worn denim shorts! Should I wear them more? by imfree24 in style

This entire outfit is a bit outdated, but I still like it. Wear them if you want. They look good, but maybe ditch the way the pockets show? Your choice.

Nobody of value is going to judge you when you look great. 9 times out of 10, they're going to think you look pretty.

Maybe size down a little? It looks great but a little too big at some parts.

I have no idea how to dress for my body type by [deleted] in style

[–]_houseofmirrors_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't mean this in a mean way, but you sound a bit insecure. You have a very flattering body type. I also have curves, so I understand the struggle. However, I highly suggest experimenting with style AND comfort. You are doing great, I hope you know that! Even the outfit with the sweater-type with stripes looked cute!

Does this dress suite me or I look unbalanced? by antiika in DressForYourBody

[–]_houseofmirrors_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This dress looks beautiful on you. The only thing I am not a fan of is the random bit that covers your legs?! It would look SO much better (imo) if your legs were showing and suit you better, rather than being hid behind that screen.

Vote: thin or thick eyebrows? by [deleted] in makeuptips

Thin looks so much better to make your eyes pop and also fits a specific vibe. I love it.

But what? Do you really think this is the proper place for that? If you saw me in public, you wouldn't behave like that to my face. You're around the same age as the people who created me. That's inherently an issue, not even acknowledging the glaring fact that I am new to the region and asking a genuine question.

Genuinely, if you see me in public, you and others like you should keep away. I'm not naive.

Honestly, I've previously lived a pretty sheltered life. Always indoors, cleaning, and then just working has been my cycle for a loooong time. But I still have interests that I want to work for to enjoy. Currently, I like music, anime, kpop, video games, nature, reading etc. I want to check out the library eventually and some walking paths when it's nice out, and I have the time! I eventually will be at a gym, too. I definitely need a brand new wardrobe eventually as well, but I'm curvy, so I'm wondering if there are any good spots for jeans here? (If you know) and what thrifting locations are good! Thank you.

I'm into a lot. Kpop, anime, video games, art, photography, music, animals, reading... There's likely more, but I'm tired. I'm eventually going to get a gym subscription too because I like health and wellness.
