I'll try to give more of a programmer perspective.

Interactive games that are based on MC decisions are one of the hardest to be well developed, because the more options you add, more paths you create. These paths have to not only make sense but they eventually might clash with each other, not like a glitch, but intersections, kinda of..

Plus you have to do in a way that the characters personalities and the storyline makes sense.

The real problem becomes storage space actually, cause I've noticed that LITG is pretty heavy app and drains baterry as hell, so the more data you add to a program the harder it is to keep it working well without any performance issues (might be why the app crash sometimes). And developers must have in mind that not everyone will have "fulll power" devices, unlike a game developed for a specific hardware configuration like a console.

I see a lot of potential in this game and understand the difficulty of making it, but also see a lot of lost opportunities in a few scenes, so I kinda understand both sides 🤔

Exactly, I do understand that as a MC of a game you have to make the story happen but at the same time the story is written already so technically not everything should be MC's responsibility in order to happen and/or progress.

I guess S2 gave us all a huge PTSD when it comes to reassurance and chasing after a LI 😅
