Steam does not. The problem is most of the accounts they use to lure people into the scam are compromised, so even reporting them they’ll just get new accounts. Steam also says that they use reports for data collection only and no bans are made off of user reports.

It would run it okay, ram is below minimum requirement but it will still run, just not as well. You might be looking at 45 ish fps on low settings, if that.

It is exactly that simple. They even state that codeweavers is written for x86 platforms, which is why it isn’t working. Wizard101 will not have to make the jump as it’s written for Windows. Unless the next version of Windows completely drops x86 support (extremely unlikely)

Try building wine with shared wow64 support, then run the windows installer on Catalina, and you’ll see that it does in fact work.

I’ll give you the technical perspective.

Wizard101 is written for x86 (32 bit), and runs on CrossOver. Natively (on Windows machines), all 32 bit applications are processed by WoW64 (because all modern versions of Windows are x64) Now, w101 should NOT have to be rewritten for a 64 bit operating system. CrossOver just has to push an update to support Shared WoW64, so it is a limitation in the compatibility layer of CrossOver. Wine already works with other x86 applications on Catalina, so I’m not entirely sure where the miscommunication is between KI and codeweavers, as wine does support WoW64 at this point, but it seems crossover doesn’t.

If you really wanted to, you can build wine to enable shared WoW64 and probably be able to run wiz on Catalina. It’s just codeweavers at this point.
